Encore 30448 Industrial Bucket, 3. 5 Gallon, White
From the Manufacturer
This heavy duty industrial pail is great for larger jobs that require a heavier pail. The 3.5-Gallon size makes it easy to move about the job. Encore pails are molded from a low melt HDPE to ensure the best possible impact strength and resistance to cracking. Encore's quality pails are widely used for paints, coatings, varnishes, water sealants, concrete patching, printing inks, soaps and detergents.

I have been looking for a perfect size bucket for the “bucket tool caddy” I just purchased on Amazon. I needed a 3.5-5 gal bucket, with a full circle opening, light but sturdy - paying special attention to how the handle is attached. All of the ones in the stores were either oddly shaped with a flat side, or shaped to pour liquids, Had a fat rim or were just too big or just ridiculously priced. This bucket is lightweight, so it does not add weight to my constant addition of gardening tools I have added to the bucket tool organizer, and it is the perfect size to easily be carried from place to place as I garden around my house. It also appears more sturdy than other buckets of the same size. The only thing I would change is the bucket handle, it has no real width to it so if the bucket has items inside that are heavy it will hurt to carry it. But for this price point, the quality and size, it is definitely worth the $$.

This bucket is the perfect size for washing the car. If any grit or grim is left inside is just rinses right out with the hose. If you used something with an oil base it might stick to the side a bit but a washcloth wipes it right off. Great buy. Recommend buying buying the grit guard with the bucket.

This is a great bucket and I have 3 now because there are many uses for it. At present one is holding my potting soil for starting tomatoes. Another contains 7 garden tools --pruners, small and large, a hand rake, a small pruning saw and seed packets. A third awaits its usefulness by being ready to protect my outside plants from the predicted heavy snow. This bucket is also easy to clean in my sink and a 5 gallon one would not be. It is sturdy, easy to carry and stackable. Highly recommended product.

How do you really write a review about a bucket? It took a bullet for me back in Nam. It's a bucket. It holds water, and I use it to wash my cars. The handle works, and it's white. Oh, and it's made out of the NASA approved shuttle plastic type material, so it works in zero gravity!!! Oh, it also doubles as a little step up ladder. If you flip it upside down, you can gain about 8-12" in height!!!

I find a 5 gallon bucket is too large for washing a vehicle. I tried a 2 gallon bucket & it was a bit too small. This 3.5 gallon bucket is just right! The pros:+ Low cost of $9.99 when I bought mine & the shipping was free!+ Very good customer reviews.+ Heavy duty construction, puts the hardware store buckets to shame. The cons:- No color option at this price.- With the tapered bottom, a standard grit guard won't fit without cutting off the outside ring. Very easy to do, so I'm not lowering the rating for this.► Update - October 2013I used this bucket today to wash my vehicle & it was the perfect size... just enough wash water. I'm impressed with its heavy duty construction. It's small enough to fit under my kitchen sink faucet... to get hot water. When the bucket is full, the bucket neck doesn't deform when being carried with the handle.I also bought a grit guard, my first, for this bucket & I was surprised how much grit was under the guard! Here's a link to the one I bought: Due to the size of the bucket bottom, the outer ring of the grit guard needs to trimmed off. Very easy to do.I decided to up my product rating to 5 stars! :)► Update - June 4, 2015▪ The bucket handle is the weak spot on this bucket. I replaced the wimpy handle with this: To be completely honest, I bought my replacement bucket grips, same brand, on eBay for less.▪ I also decided to drop one star from my product rating.

The condition upon arrival was perfect, and so far it has worked exactly according to my need: to fill with dirty fishtank water, and then fill with clean water and dump into the tank. The bottom bows down a bit when it is more than 3/4 full, but it doesn't seem to affect the structural integrity and hasn't been a problem. Otherwise it feels pretty solid and well made, though a bit rough around the edges (underneath the lip).Exactly what I wanted in a cheap bucket-

Overpriced. Your better off going to any hardware store. You'll pay much less and they're built with stronger plastic than this.

I got this bucket for use with a grit guard for the rinse side of a 2 bucket wash. The bottom of this bucket is not like the other 3.5 gal bucket I have. The bottom is narrower than a 5 gal bucket, so I had to trim the outer ring of the grit guard so it would fit in the bottom. Grit guard cut clean with a set of diagonal cutters, so that is an easy fix. This is just a note if this is why you are getting the bucket, not a dig on it.This bucket is nice, has a "pliable" feel to it, so it should not crack ( some HD buckets can be brittle and will crack if they take a hard enough hit ). I stood on the side of it, mashed it to an oval, and it sprung back to shape. The top lip will take a Gamaseal lid, so the top is the same as a std 5 gal bucket.
