When i received this unit (bot it "new"), it was VERY OBVIOUS that it was not new and pristine; the box had been opened and retaped, as clear as day. THEN, when i connected it to my sound system (and i am an electrical/recording engineer), the LED's were DEAD. NO LIGHTS WHATSOEVER. On top of that, there was soooo much HISS it sounded like a pissed off cat. You must be joking i said. So i isolated this unit by itself, and man o man the hiss level was over the top ridiculous. The seller accepted the return but IS NOT COMMUNICATING on my refund. OVERALL THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER HAD IN TEN YEARS THROUGH AMAZON. And i buy at least 10 grand of stuff a year. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT OR THIS VENDOR. If there was a "zero" star rating, this would be it. Sincerely and honestly Dave H.

I just got this and installed it. Can't give a review yet. Maybe put one on later, but so far, works fine.

Cheaply built, has no power button on front but with adapters and a tape loop you can connect it to a home theater receiver. (Old ones)

Very impressed with this eq.. sound quality is great.. only thing I didn't like about it is that it doesn't have a power led to know if it's on or off.

It's cheap and works as long as you are very careful with the 1/4 jacks. The are soldered too cold and will break loose.

Once the 115V transformer was changed for one working from 240V it is fine. However, a straight 240V: 12V: 12V does not work and required some extra turns to be hand wound to achieve the open circuit voltage of 18V: 18V. A straight 240V: 18V: 18V winding gives too high an open circuit voltage. Once this bifilar winding of about 46 turns was added to the 12V: 12V to make 18V: 18V open circuit everything works well. The unit provides excellent performance at a good price. The morale is to make sure you have a unit for a working voltage of 240V. The units are available with alternative input voltages.

Best deal out there on equalizers, works great, sounds great, if you own a 10 band EQ ditch it and get this you won't be sorry. Only one thing I wish they put the on-off button on the front not the back, but as the owners manual states, when not in use it uses such a small amount of power that it can be left on at all times.
