They lie about coming with an enclosure. There is none to be aware of this seller. I know is cheap but why not be transparent about your product?

I read through the other Reviews after my initial attempts with the drive. I'll be using it with an enclosure, as part of a network lab, I have noticed that my packaging did not come with spacers to mount the SSD's. I happen to have one and will test it out and update my review with the results and specs of what I'm using with it.Update:Spacers are helpful, and so far the adapter only works with one drive at a time.

Like the title says, it came in handy when I needed to install my extra m.2's. It's a great item for the cost. One thing to note, make sure you use a thermal pad to ensure your m.2 stays cool.

I bought this because of the duall NGFF SSD it can do. I didn't catch that it will not combine the two disks as one or showup in windows file explorer as two different drives. One must flip a switch to change between on SSD and the second one which requires removing the cover to do this thus defeating the advantage of dual disk causing more steps to be done. I had hoped to combine my two 4TB NGFF SSDs to show up as one 8TB in windows, or as two separate 4TB drives. However, windows only sees one SSD at a time. Perhaps the switch should be designed to a) select the disks so they appear as two different drives, and b) the other switch position to combine the drives to appear as as one. Moreover, heatsinks are needed for SSDs if large file transfers needed otherwise, the speeds via the USB will slow down to 1Meg and less. There isn't enough space to add aftermarket heatsinks since they can be 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. The case is more plastic than metal and the SSD body will not contact the case to transfer the heat efficiently. I'd be interested in a dual NVME external drive to create an 8TB drive but they don't exist.I'd like to know what or where to get the brass knurled standoffs from but can't find them on amazon.

The good. It works just fine...mostly. I did have one issue with a SATA cable, but I swapped out the SATA cable and it was detected. The SATA cable that didn't work had a retention clip - unsure if this caused the issue, or if the cable is bad. Just something to keep in mind if you hit this issue. So, inexpensive and works with SATA M.2 drives (which I mistakenly bought as I wanted very small drives for a project and didn't pay attention to SATA vs NVMe).The bad.1. In multiple places in the listing, it states: "Aluminum alloy housing". It's not. It is plastic.2. The "Precautions" bullet in the item summary states "two SSDs must be connected for simultaneous use, SSDs will be re-initialized upon first use, please back up your hard drive data before use, when using, two When in use, a JBOD is formed between the two hard disks." However, this is not the case. As other bullets and reviews state, you can only access one drive at a time, requiring entry into the case to flip the switch. This didn't affect my use, but can be confusing for other customers. So, one star off for each of the misleading description items. Mine came with all of the screws and standoffs (I saw another reviewer was missing theirs). So, all is good there. If I needed, I'd buy again for an internally mounted drive. If wanting an external drive, I'd probably look elsewhere for an actual aluminum case.

Worked perfectly to install an M.2 SATA into my PS4 pro.
