I needed an adapter to connect to my generator and this one fit perfectly and worked as it should.

Fits my Homelite 5000 Generator. The old NEMA Outlet began having trouble with one of the pair of power legs. This outlet seems a little better than the original. I can see more copper contact than I can in the old one. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

This design has a robust cable clamp. There is a clear plastic cover internally with holes for ground, neutral, phase one, and phase 2. There are screw terminals for each of the connections and a plate clamp to securely hold the wire once the screw is screwed down. This design is for 20 amp current flow through either of the phase one or phase 2 legs. Match this with a 20 amp dual pole breaker for 240 V. The neutral connector is present for those that want to use a four pin 20 amp 240 V connector, and wire it to Support 120 V. You will need this connector on one end and a female 120 V socket to do the conversion. You will be using one phase of the 240 V, the neutral, and the ground. The second phase will not be used as each phase represents 120 volts referenced to the neutral. As always, the ground is for safety only and should not be wired to Carey current under any circumstances other than if there is a fault. I am assuming this type of connector is useful for RV applications where a four pin 20 amp connect is available, and someone wants to use it for supplying 120 V to regular appliances, such as a fan or a light or a phone charger.
