Purchased this smart plug to have the ability to control landscape lights from my smartphone when out of town, etc. The timer built into the transformer was unreliable and does not have a battery backup incase of power outages while I am away. Setup was easy once I figured out my Cync app needed updating. Once I did that it was up and going in just a few minutes. I've had my issues with other Cync products in the past, but this one hit the mark.

We bought three plugs, plugged and p,aged them and they worked day one. I had to contact their tech service dept. to which was the best experience and result for getting the correct answer without being transferred to other agents. Oh, and might I add, this agent spoke clear English and was peasant without hesitation?I'm glad that GE is back in the business of making quality consumer products. Great decision for a SMART PLUG.

I waited to review this because I wanted to see if it would lose its wifi connection after awhile and have to be reconnected, like my previous one had. So far, after 3 months it has not lost its connection. I have had the app on a couple of occasions not be able to connect to the wifi for some reason when everything else seemed to be able to. The app is also slow to connect to the devices every time I use it. I think the scheduling in the app is a lot more complicated than it has to be as well.

I love being able to easily turn the lights on or off in our gazebo. Of course I go in and the realize dang it.. forgot to turn off the lights again. This one is easy to setup and stays connected to my phone app really well.

Imposible enlazar con iPhone en México porque en la tienda no existe la app, tuve que usar un Android para descargar la app y configurar, pero ya una vez sincronizado con Alexa funciona muy bien, los uso para las luces de la terraza al aire libre y hasta el momento no he tenido problema con algún corto

I had previously purchased string lights for my backyard patio, but it was always such a hassle turning them on and off; especially at night. Nos gusto mucho!! Fácil de manejar, poner horarios y vincular con Alexa. Mi ÚNICA recomendación es que si lo van a comprar en México asegúrense de tener algún dispositivo Android para poder vincularlo (ya que la App de Cync no está disponible en Mexico en la Apple Store).

This has to be the biggest waste of money all year! I have a no name 4 outlet plug that works way better and it was half the price.This looks nice and it seems nice but for starters, it is not very small and compact as the photos. Not a big deal. It worked for a minute with the app that has a 2 star rating but then it is continually Not Found! Restart the app and still not found. Unplug the device and plug it back in and it works! ONCE! Then you start over again.So basically you may as well save yourself some money and walk outside and pull the plug out yourself.Now try syncing with Alexa or Google Home! You think using the app was bad? You are in for an experience here! Everything works just the same as with the 2 star app! However now you can hear Alexa tell you the plug isn't responding! I would love this to be all that was bad about this but wait, there's more! In the description it says you get an outlet cover to make it usable outdoors and it show a clear plastic cover to make it usable! Yeah, it isn't in the box! The only thing in the box is the useless plug, a useless instructions manual and wait for it... 1 screw and a cheap plastic drywall anchor. You know in case you want to mount this on your drywall outside in the driveway.This is literally the second time in a week Amazon sold me garbage. They have a wonderful return policy as long as you don't mind driving it to a ups store or a Kohl's or an Amazon locker. How about you pick it up when you drop off the new one that works? Or stop selling junk! Do some research before listing deal of the day items? I buy based on trust, this is obviously useless junk according to the app reviews. The app needed is called cync? When you try to connect to your Alexa or echo, there isn't a n option for this brand. If you use the selection labeled GE, it won't let you continue without a hub! So skip this and go to add skill. Then it asks for all your information and then asks are you sure? I should have taken the hint...Stay away from this unless you are in the mood to drive to return it or just waste your money.In case I didn't get my message across, this product is garbage!
