Simply exactly what is needed to test batteries discharge capacity, to see what are you getting when buying batteries. Perfect.

I got a different battery capacity tester than advertised, but it still worked. the problem is that after a few cycles on a 72v battery, the tester failed as a dead short. I plugged in the tester and it shorted out the battery, taking out a chunk of my connector. The only thing that saved my house from burning down was the BMS overcurrent protection.

I used this to test two solar batteries. They are each 200 amp hour Lithium batteries. It took about 17 hours for each full test but gave good data at the end. So far so good.

This thing looks cool, has more inputs than you'd ever need but not worth the price. The fan heatsink doesn't do well with cooling the unit. The fan bearings started making noise after running one evening. You can't discharge faster than 55 watts on any voltage. It runs 80c then.Any higher it gets smoking hot, 99c with the fan maxed out. Solder has already begun to melt.It doesn't do well loading USB.The included 9v power supply failed within 500ah of discharging. Easily replaced with a 12v. It accepts variable input voltage with 12 being max. This won't last longer than a couple months.

I am using it for my lithium batteries at the moment I"m impressed for the price and quality. Look for videos on youtube before connecting everything as the instructions are vague.

It draws a constant current reliably. The values on the display would need to be calibrated (not needed if using separate meters)The test calipers and wires are a bit smallish for a 10 amp draw (significant line loss)Would prefer longer leads, larger alligators and a thicker guage wire to make it more versatile.Overall, it's a good value and I would entertain buying a second unit. Also I recommend watching online video reviews for best operating instructions.

Bought 2 of these, both arrived Dead On Arrival. Checked the voltage on the power supplies on both, both good at 9.2 volts. Directions say to connect a battery or charger that you want to check, followed the directions to the letter, and no display on either, displays and units are just dead. Will look elsewhere for a battery tester. Not happy.

I bought this product in the first month of the year but did use it until now. The product worked in 5 minutes and stopped trying on different batteries but discharge operation would not work. The screen is on but voltage and amp is not turned on and the fan would not engage. Waste of money and hard to contact someone to prcess the exchange.

I had not thought about it when ordering, but with 1-settings button it is a crazy system of holding it down for different lengths of time to do different stuff.Setting the Low-Voltage cutoff which is critical for Lithium batteries is crazy as going too low can destroy them instantly. You have to click your way to "Instead get one with 4-buttons. Two of the buttons are for Up/Down settings. It did work OK and seems to be fairly accurate. BUT, setting the **exact** cutoff voltage is critical when working with Lithium and leaving the thing to run for 5+hours.

So, this load tester is very easy to use.Lots of options to feed a power source as a DUT.The only question I have is what in the world is the real power dissipation? In the enclosed manual, it shows 150/180 W, but which is it? If you adjust the current load and exceed 185 W, it will protect itself and shut down. I am currently running a 24 hour test at 160 W load so far it is working great at 12 hours into the test.

Works as designed. Easy, no-frills, fancy heater that does a good job of keeping track of power consumed. Would be nice if it had something for an enclosure around the board, so you have to be pretty gentle with it. Otherwise, it serves it purpose perfectly. The YouTube channel “DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse” has a good video review of this.
