Works very well but a bit heavy for me (Woman). It takes some used to at the beginning since the motion is quite strong. What I did is not to touch the ground but get just close enough, and it worked well for me.

I lovvvvveeeeee this product. I have flower beds surrounding my 2500 sq foot home and during the spring I begin my 2-month weed picking sessions. I am particular about picking my weeds in that I get them from the roots to prevent them from growing back so quickly. By hand again it would take me 2 months sometimes more. This machine made it so easy for me. I did the entire flower bed in my back yard within 1/2 hour. I was screaming with excitement. game changer for me. The product is powerful although I wish it had a 2nd battery so I can swap them as they run out of juice and need charged.

I ordered this to help take care of those awful dandelion weeds in my garden and lawn. It is quite fun to use, but be careful as the tines are very sharp. I took the advice of another reviewer and cut part of the foam it was packaged in into a rectangle to protect the tines. The covers they included had already poked through to the sharp ends so they were not useful in protection. You have to get used to holding the safety button and then the tool trigger, but once you get it, it's quite easy to use. I bring a small bucket around with me to push the weeds into so I'm not walking back and forth to the wheel barrel. It does leave a little divot so you may need to use some grass seed and dirt if you use it on the lawn...if used on mulch, it's no problem at all, just rake it. The two days I used it, I did not run out of battery, but used it sporadically over 2-3 hours both days and did charge it after day 1 so it was fully charged for day 2. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase!
