This mat is amazing! I bought it to use when taking something to work for a party, a warm appetizer. The low setting was perfect and heated them up to just the right temp.

I'm using this for beeswax wraps. It works perfect! It rolls back to fit in box perfectly for storage. It would work perfectly to keep food warm just be sure to put it on a heat safe surface as the bottom does get warm.

I purchased 2 of these to keep food warm at my Super Bowl party. They are completely useless. The mats heat up and do warm the bottoms of the plates, but don't warm the food at all. I tried with multiple different types of dishes to make sure it wasn't limited to a particular material or shape of dish but the food didn't warm in any of them. Maybe they can serve a different purpose, but if you're trying to keep food warm I wouldn't buy this.

The heating element on this mat works well, and it's easy to use. However, the cable does not stay connected to the mat very well at all. You have to have it just in the right spot, and if it gets bumped it can easily fall out of course causing it to shut off. For that I would give it a 3.5. If the cable stays in it works well, but it's so loose, it's easy for it to fall out.

I take this “placement warmer” to outdoor events to keep my dishes warm. Easy to clean. I like it! Rolls up for small storage.

I love these food warming mats. It's been a game changer for our pitch-in dinners. Putting it on low heat is ideal to keep dishes warm but not dry them out excessively. We didn't have any issues with our granite counter overheating but it's easy enough to put a silicone heat-proof mat down under the warming tray if you have a surface you're worried about. It does seem to have good ventilation underneath.
