This warmer tray is great for parties and when you need to cook food ahead of time or keep cooked food warm for an extended period. You can also use this to defrost meat as well. This has plenty of room for 2 casserole-size dishes.The bottom of this warmer also has little nodes that keep it from sitting directly on your table or countertop so there is sufficient airflow to keep from burning your counter. This does get hot to the touch depending on the temp you set it, I highly recommend keeping little ones' hands away from it.

I chose this item to review: Warming Mat for Food, Electric Warming Tray with 5 Temp-Settings & 2 Hours Timer, Foldable Electric Warming Tray.This is your average warming mat. We use these for pot luck gatherings to keep our already hot food from getting cold. The pot of hot Spanish Rice stayed warm towards the bottom after a few hours. Simple to use: lay it flat, plug it in, turn it on high and set your hot dishes on the mat. Works best with flat bottom metal pans.You can fit a few dishes on this at once. This wipes clean with a soapy wet cloth (Don't Submerge It!) and looks as good as new. Takes very little room to store.Average 3 Stars

We host alot of gathering and are always playing musical dishes on the stove to keep things up to temp. This warming mat is the perfect solution!!!! We put it on our granite countertop, turn it on, and place dishes on top and forget about it. It’s super easy to use, rolls up for easy storage, can be wiped clean, and has worked great!!!! This mat is pretty big and will fit a few large or several smaller dishes. Definitely a must for anyone that hosts meals!!!!

What a great product and concept! Finally something that is easily stored and can keep dishes of various shapes/sizes warm when entertaining. No more cumbersome chaffing dishes!Pros: convenience! provides great warmth! durable!Cons: would like to see more of a variety in colors to match table decor etc.

This will not heat your food from ice cold - lets get that straight out the gate. HOWEVER, if you want to keep your already hot food warm or warm up something that's luke warm, this is exactly the purpose. My mom has a similar tray that she uses at holidays but it has more of a slick surface, not silicone. The silicone keeps the bowls/casserole dishes from sliding around when serving, which I much appreciate. I like that this rolls easily and has a strap to keep it rolled. I also like that the cord is removable for cleaning purposes. This lays evenly because of all of the feet on the back keeping your surface safe from the heat. This will hold the temperature of your foods so that you can come back for another serving and not need to stick it in the microwave. It's easily portable, too - I've brought it into my office for potlucks and it works perfectly. I will say that the photos are very deceiving. Read the dimensions, you're most certainly not fitting the amount of food shown onto this tray. You can fit two 9x13 casserole dishes side by side on this, if that helps for perspective.Update to initial review: half of my office ordered this for themselves AND for their family members for gifts.

This is so easy to use just roll it out and plug it in . Great for serving different hot ,warm dishes. Has different temperature settings the highest is 212 which keeps food plenty warm I found out dish has to be warm you can’t take out of refrigerator and expect it to get warm quick . When you put a warm dish on this it keeps the temperature as per your settings easy to clean and roll up for storage

First, this warming mat is on par with virtually any of the warming mats on the market. It heats up quickly and evenly, and will keep your food warm for potlucks, buffets, entertaining, or late-arriving family members.But the listing both paints a false picture and is factually incorrect.Factually, the listing says the mat is rated at 500 watts. In fact, it is rated at 250 watts.Impression-wise, the listing shows the underside of the mat with 14 lengths of heating wire running end-to end. In fact, there are only 8. There are mats with 14 heat strips, but this is not one of them. The listing also shows a top surface with absolutely uniform heat. This is not the case. The thermal image I shared is of the top surface of the mat 2 minutes after powering on. The heating elements are very clearly visible. Silicone is not a material that will spread heat evenly, nor will it hold heat, so I don't expect that the surface will become a seamless sheet of food heating warmth.Finally, subjectively, I find the very generic reviews dated December 22 and January 7 to be suspiciously . . . generic. I can't prove any funny business, but I'm suspicious.All that being said, does any of it matter? I don't believe it does. The warming mat heats up, the controls work, and it does what it says. It will not heat up your meal but it will keep your food warmer than room temperature if you cover it. The thermostat goes up to 212, but you cannot boil water on it.I have purchased several of these mats as gifts, and they are all pretty much the same. So if you need a way to keep food warm, find one that is the size and color you want at a good price. And, critiques aside, this one is probably as good as any.
