I am new to fuel cans for cooking when the electric is out. Hurricane Helene came by and knocked us off the electric for three days. So I popped the lid, lit the wick and made a platform from short condensed cans of evaporated milk with the labels removed. I boiled water for coffee, cooked fried eggs, fried turkey bacon and hamburger. Just know it does take a lot longer, for water to boil for coffee you can expect 20 minutes or so. I am giving two of these to a friend so he has a way to cook. To snuff out the flame just toss the top back on the flame and it snuffs out immediately. I just placed another order because another hurricane is coming. In three days I didn't even use one entire can. You can use more than one at one time.
