The metal on the pliers was middle of the spectrum. Not the cheapest nor the best quality. I have not tried to remove the oil filter as I just changed the oil on my Bad Boy zero turn mower. I believe it will do the job for me.

These are a excellent buy. I am a Forklift Technician and I needed a set of filter wrenches and everything I saw at auto parts and hardware stores were too small or the handles were toothpick size. These work great, they're strong and the two sizes definitely come in handy! Strongly recommend

all i can say is thank GOD for this piece I DONT see how the filter can come off without it so as a amazon prime member i had to grab this it look very sturdy and dependable so i paid for it and you should to , buy this no questions ask, it saved me !!!!!!! long story short my mother pass away from cancer back in may 2024, and life been hard on me long story short im saving so much money doing repairs myself , chevy dealer charge way to much just to fix anything so far i done trans gasket and filter change and oil change and control module change and steering pump change and tons of others things...im slowly becoming ah mechanic, long story short GOD BLESS THE CHILD WHO HAS ITS OWN my only regret i wish i would of did things for myself sooner.. hope this review help somewhat

Only buy this type of tool. This is the only one that is ever guaranteed to not waste your time. It’s cheap, it does the job, and there is no need to look for a specific size fitting (like you would with a cap wrench tool). This is the thing you need to buy.

I have several different vehicles and ATV's so I need a range of filter wrenches. These are not super heavy duty so might break down if you were running a garage but if you are doing a handful of oil changes a year they are perfect.
