Exactly what it says on the tin - a piece of wool cloth, that's good for creating static electricity in a school science lab. Seems rather overpriced to me, but then, since most clothing is blends and most rags are made of artificial materials, unless you're friends with a crafter or sheep-farmer you may have a hard time getting your hands on a suitable swatch of genuine wool like this one.

I have been teaching science for over 2 decades now and the longer I teach, I still want to do demonstrations and experiments to PROVE the science we teach. To help do that, this wool cloth will come in extremely handy. Of course, I need some silk and various rods (glass, plastic, etc.) to continue with this, but this is a great start to me getting where I want to be supply-wise.

It's exactly as you'd think. It's a small swatch of wool. I needed it for a science experiment on static electricity for my son's fourth grade home school class. It worked great, definitely wool and not something else. I think maybe it's a little pricey for what you get, but I don't know much about the cost of wool these days either. I needed it, amazon had it, I bought it and the need was filled. If you need a swatch of wool, here you go!

I used this cloth to generate static on an air filled balloon for a classroom experiment but it did not work. I had to resort to using my student's hair... which they loved, but that's not the point. I tried it on different balloons and it was a bust every time.
