Advertised as "Set includes a complete instruction manual that gives a background on density, mass, specific gravity & specific heat and includes inquiry based student activities with capture sheets." Nothing of the sort was in the package. None of the rods were labeled so if you don't know plastics you can't figure out which is which without looking up the densities on the internet.

Tip: The clear rod is acrylic, the white rod is nylon, and the black rod is PVCThis set will come in handy for demonstrating basic mass and density differences in my university class teaching. The acrylic and nylon rods are clean and smooth, though the black PVC rod is somewhat blemished. The aluminum and brass pieces are nice and smooth and shiny (though I have to mention that the metal rods in a different set from the same company had blemishes). Overall, entirely acceptable (though not stellar) at this price point, except for the missing info sheet.

I got these to use in a station lab where students would be reviewing skills they learned in the previous grade, and they're great! I've had other sets like this that cost a lot more at previous schools, so I was glad to find a usable density set at an affordable price.
