Advertised as "EXPERIMENT MANUAL || Includes manual with background information, properties of each metal, and student activities with questions." Nothing of the sort was included in the package. The cubes are small so they are difficult for young students to use.

Used in my lab, and as one centimeter scale objects in photos.

I misread the size, these are tiny - 1cm^3 No wonder they were cheaper than the others.

I love these little density cubes they are super cute. I really like that they are 1cubic centimeter each it helps students understand what a cm3 is and then they can imagine why it equals 1 mLMake sure to have students wash their hands after touching the Pb cube. Mine where stamped with their atomic symbol. Interesting that brass is stamped Br but it made for a good inquiry. I wish there was an option to have stamped or not stamped for different lab options.

They seem great so far. I tested the densities before my students and they check out pretty well. I do wish they were not stamped so there would be some mystery to it but i was able to remove the stamp of the symbols with some work. I was a bit confused on how impure the zinc may have been. I could not get the Zn to melt at the normal melting point for zinc, it was actually much higher. I was also able to fit them inside 20mL graduated cylinders with no problem for more accurate density calculations. Otherwise, great for lab but if you are wanting to collect elements, go for something a little bigger.

These are perfect cubes for density/specific gravity activities. The abbreviations for the metals are nicely engraved on the cubes and they are perfect 1 cm cubes as you can see in the attached photo. Either these cubes have been updated/upgraded since some of the other reviews were written or the reviews are incorrect. Don't hesitate to purchase these. They come in a small plastic case with a snap close lid.

La densidades experimentales se acercaron a las teóricas. Son pequeñitos pero útiles.

I used these cubes to teach two different age groups (4th grade through high school) about densities of metals. Since all six cubes have exactly the same volume (1 cubic centimeter or 1 milliliter) but different weights, they were ideal for teaching students about density as well as about the metric system. They come in a nice snap-top container. I highly recommend these for science or physics instruction!
