Fits on EGO power head which supplies sufficient torque to edge even dry dense grass. This gives a nice finished look to your lawn maintenance.

I was concerned that this product might be too heavy for me to handle but I found it easy to use. I do use a shoulder strap and a Kyeen Tool trimmer grip to help me control and balance the edger. I opted for the 5 AH battery which gives the edger has plenty of power and longevity. The 5 AH battery weighs about 2 lbs more than the 2.5 AH battery but that has not caused noticable weight issues for me. Previously, I had been trying to edge with a string trimmer which was difficult, time consuming, and left me with an aching back. The Ego edger works much better, has greatly reduced the labor needed to get the job done, and eliminated my back issues. I wish that I'd purchased this unit much sooner.

I was a little concerned about a battery powered edger not having the umph to do the job. No need for concern. It ripped though everything I threw at it. Just make sure the blade is turning before engaging the dirt and grass. The metal guide makes it easy follow the sidewalk. This is a hefty unit and seems solid and durable. It can feel a little bulky and can be a little difficult to maneuver at times. These negatives are far out weighted by the speed and power. Once you get the knack of it edging goes extremely fast.Is it a perfect unit? No. Is it a keeper? Definitely!

I've used a Black and Decker corded for years. I didn't expect the Ego to work as well, but it actually seems to work better. I put a four point blade on from the start, and it wants to pull itself along, where I had to push and fight the B&D. Added a handle for better control, and I don't mind edging anymore. 5 stars so far.

This is the second EGO tool I’ve purchased from their 56-Volt system. The first was the EGO Power+ LB7654 765 CFM Variable-Speed Cordless Leaf Blower. Seeing I already had a 5,000 mAH battery and charger I purchased the new Edger and Power Head unit without the battery and charger option.The EGO Power+ 8-Inch Edger Attachment & Power Head unit is an absolutely fantastic tool. It took me a while to decide on purchasing a battery powered edger. I’ve always used a gas powered edger but my current unit wouldn’t start, again, so I checked out a replacement gasoline plus considered a battery powered unit. Needless to say, I finally decided on the battery powered unit. As a note, this is the second EGO 56 Volt tool I’ve acquired, the other is their blower, and if it’s possible this is an even better tool than the blower. The unit was easy to ASSEMBLE, it only took only a few minutes to check over the accompanying literature and assemble the unit. In terms of USE the edger unit is great. It’s well balanced and very easy to MANEUVER.For my first project I edged more than 400 feet of beds. As a note, I was able to edge more than 300 feet on a single charge of the 5,000 mAH battery, impressive. I’m going to be replacing a number of other gasoline powered tools with battery powered tools and if they’re available, they’ll be from EGO. Again, an absolutely great product.As a note, I have now also purchased the EGO Power+ HTA2000 20-inch Hedge Trimmer Attachment for EGO 56-Volt Multi Head System. I’ll write a review shortly but suffice to say the hedge trimmer works exceptionally. A great tool.

No cord, no fuel, just hook up the battery and go. More efficient than my gas edger. Cleaner and easy to handle. I also have the leaf blower. The battery fits all and when needed the battery charges quickly. I did buy and extra battery.Highly recommended

Slowly I am switching from 2 cycle tools to battery tools and have been impressed with the EGO brand. This tool, in particular, is easier to use than depicted on the videos I have seen as well as the written reviews. I have found that by setting the depth fairly deep I can hold the motor end of the edger at a lower angle and still quite easily cut in the edges of sidewalks and planting beds. I did, however, purchase a longer handle assembly so I don't have to lean over to grab the included "D" handle. I might add that the handle helps in guiding the cutting end; with the wheel on the cutter there is no reason to have to carry the tool along the edge. The tool is heavy on the motor end so not having to hold it up in the air "in my armpit" as one user suggested, is a big plus. I find the standard battery works fine for me for the 100' or more trimming I need to do.

Purchased this to replace a similar version Ryobi tool and chose EGO as I had purchased the EGO 2 stage snowblower last fall and it came wit 2 7.5 amp batteries that I could use on this tool. The quality is far superior to the Ryobi. Heavier duty and more powerful. The 7.5 battery makes it heavy so I would recommend purchasing this tool with a smaller battery or, as I did, purchase the EGO shoulder strap. I highly recommend EGO products.

I have grown to really appreciate the Ego product family.This edger is great. Cuts clean and easy to navigate. Two speeds. Easy to adjust and change out for another attachment.Word of wisdom… unless you’re going for your weekly shoulder workout, not a great idea to try to use a 7.5Ah or higher battery in the power handle. You’ll be wiped pretty fast. But that’s all I have right now. Recommend to use this with 2.5Ah battery….

This combination of Multi-head plus edger is not usually sold in Australia.More's the pity since it is an absolute beast of a garden tool. Makes incredibly light work of edging - and whilst it is quite heavy with a 5Ah battery and may benefit from a smaller battery or shoulder strap - it will likely result in your line trimmer being retired from edging for life. Fantastic build quality with plenty of metal and ample power to tear through turf and soil to create laser-line perfect edges. Outstanding...
