I purchased this for my husband as a Christmas gift, he’s been wanting an eco water tank. They just aren’t growing. We planted them right after Christmas, and as you can see in the pictures that were taken on Feb. 26, so two months, they just aren’t really growing. I’m pretty disappointed, as he was very excited to make this something great.

These little mud rocks are such a great value. I wanted a filter free tank and bought these to help with the process. I bought seeds to be grown with these rocks and they both worked amazingly. The amount I got was a pretty decent amount. They don’t smell like anything. They helped my plants grown for sure. I would buy again for another tank if bought.

There was no need to clean the substrate before putting it in the tank. I used it to start a small planted aquarium. The water was the clearest I've ever seen. I didn't have to do any water changes or fiddle with pH levels. Fast forward several months and my plants are thriving and my betta has never seemed happier.
