Reliability is why I purchased this but soon realized there are many other features I’d come to appreciate. It fits comfortably in my hands and I like that if it’s lying flat on a surface it won’t accidentally activate the buttons. The range is more than I’ll ever need but reassuring to know that it’s the last thing I have to worry about. I keep it on continuous mode and always use the vibration as a warning which is usually all I need after my Germain Shepard had a few experiences with corrections from the “e-stimulation”. So far the highest I’ve ever used 21.I rescued my 2yr old neutered male six weeks ago and know we go everywhere without a leash. I trained him myself by working on verbal commands with positive rewards and a prong collar to correct lack of impulse control in busy environments. Once we were solid and it felt like teamwork I graduated him to a 20ft leash and trained on that until the verbal commands were happily and confidently acknowledged and obeyed. Now he looks to me for guidance, play, and encouragement. The e-collar has given this rescue pup the freedom he deserves while also keeping him safe from unnesscary mistakes. The collar fixes nothing but if you work hard on training verbal commands with clearity it all comes together beautifully for a reward both you and your dog deserve. I randomly met a fellow off leash dog owner in a park where she too was using an ecollar and we didn’t even have to use our devices to give the pups consent to greet and then continue in opposite directions. Something about the lifestyle gives dogs a deeper respect and reward for being a team with their humans. One last note.. I purchased the jugabow brand and hated it once one of the buttons jammed. I was glad it didn’t happen while he was wearing it. For something we’ll use daily I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again nor would I waste my money on anything cheaper or more expensive.IYKYK

Having trained 3 Dobermans, found this to be usefull when they become stubborn. I use a balanced method of training. Have found the vibration mode is extremely usefull, only use the static portion in extreme circumsatnces. A little difficult to set the proper mode of you choice.

Our dog doesn't take treats when on walks so it was very hard teaching him to heel or sit on walks. With this it is so much better. We use the vibrate button as a warning and he usually listens. We also used it to teach him not to jump on people or children or to chew on shoes. He was always stealing them and would then run away and make a game out of it. No more, one vibrate and he drops the shoe. Very helpful.

I was a little hesitant about getting this collar my dog trainer recommended it. I got a Norwegian Bohund. I live 900 feet off the road and she tended to chase cars down the driveway whenever an Amazon car came she would chase it and get near the tires so my trainer recommended the mini educator. It has been a godsend. I now press it and only the t button not the shock part and she comes running back to the house and she doesn’t chase cars anymore. Hopefully I’m trying to get her to get out of the mini educator collar and not chase cars, but it has been a godsend to my family. I hope this helps others she has really been responsive to even the t button, which is a vibrating to come to the house or stop what she’s doing. thank you. You’ve been a God said to me because I did not know what to do with this dog. I’ve always had labs. This is just in her her blood herd and her mind it’s cars .thank you Thank you. Mini educator for helping me. It is been a blessing for me. I do not want to hit she’s outside and I don’t want to keep her on a chain so this has been a godsend for us and in time she is learning her boundaries right now she’s sitting in the front yard with 2 acres in front of her and watching the horses next-door. If you need help with your dog, this to the mini educator is great. It doesn’t hurt them. It guides them to know what is right and what is wrong

The transmitter (remote controller) is a bit bulkier than I care for, but I love the options and sensitivity levels of this collar. It was working well but unfortunately I've only used it for roughly 2 monthly and it no longer will allow me to charge the receiver and it sounds broken. When removing it from my dog, I noticed a rattling sound coming from the unit. I contacted the manufacturer, hopefully everything goes well.Update: I notified the company and they responded right away. I recieved a replacement reciever and sent back my old one with zero fuss. No issues with the new unit so far. Great customer service.

Horrible product and what is worse is the Amazon customer service. It is virtually impossible to reach the manufacturer support. Basically you buy the item and if something goes wrong no one cares … don’t waste your money

We bought this for our 1yr old 140lb Great Dane. He is a very well behaved dog but we were having trouble with him jumping on us when letting him out of the crate and wanted to be able to let him off leash (in a controlled environment) and have a way to get his attention when something else seems more important than us. This has been life changing for him and us. He sits in his crate and let's us put it on him and then doesnt jump on us once he is out. He recalls extremely well with just the tone (vibrate). He is E collar trained as we previously had a cheap 40 dollar one but he didn't recall if distracted using the tone or shock with that collar. I cannot say enough great things about this collar and the independence it has given our boy. If you are questioning or on the fence on whether or not to get it, I promise it is worth every penny. I love the way it fits in hand and it is so easy to use. You can lock it so the shock stays on the level you prefer. You can also set a boost (red button) this way if your dog is not paying you any mind, and your normal level isnt getting their attention, it will shock at a higher level of your choosing (we have ours set for +10). I did have to order a wrist lanyard as it didnt come with one but that is personal preference and not something I think is a big deal. This Mini educator is everything I dreamed and more and our pup is so happy because of it!
