Tried to find a tv cable bracket for SBC, edelbrock performer RPM intake, and edelbrock performer 1406 carb to support 700r4. This bracket does not do it! The mounts for the throttle and tv cables are too far inboard and rub the carb linkage. It might work on a stock/quadrajet carb as they tend to be a bit narrower. It does have the height to give a straight pull from the linkage if you could somehow flip cutouts. I was able to modify edelbrock 8036 to make work, had to build new mounting plate to increase height, but side to side worked.

This bracket fits and is well made but the orientation is off. The button on the cable is very hard to push. That is a problem because you have to be able to press that button to set up the transmission shift points. If the tension is not correct the trans will fail.... quickly. I had to modify the bracket to allow the cable end to be rotated 90 degrees.

This product was well thought out, and a great idea………Anytime you change away from stock parts, it’s a crap-shoot if your going to be able to hook it up or not……So, these types of parts are essential…!!!!

Really?? Is it THAT hard to make something for a small block Chevy anymore? On a 78 K10, SBC, Edelbrock EPS manifold and Edelbrock 1826 Thunder Series AVS carburetor and it STILL doesn't fit!! It positions the throttle cable so far in it would have to go through part of the carb to work. Worthless.
