For the price this alarm isn’t bad. Bought it to retrofit an old VW. Does what it’s advertised to do.

I’ve been using this daily now for the last 6 months, I’ve had no issues after install, it did take 2 hours to install but I’m just a weekend diy’r. I can remote start from 100 yards away as long as I can see my truck. All you need is a little bit of knowledge and a volt meter! Absolutely worth every penny.

I used to install stereos and alarms professionally. I wanted this to update a used Tundra I recently bought. Everything was great. It was easy to install. I really liked the quality of the fob. The remote start worked perfectly. But like many have said, the PKE antennas/range does not work at all. I would have to pull my keys out of my pocket and scan the truck until it would finally be sensed. Never more than with fob against the window closest to the antenna. But the worst thing is it kills my battery DEAD overnight. And I mean to zero! I haven't yet attempted to contact them, to see if there might be a solution. With my past experience with mechanical/electronics etc., I do not see how there can possibly be any solution other than a defective system. I read the negative reviews before I bought it. Figured others didn't install correctly, didn't read instructions. I think that is true, in many cases, but this thing is not working the way it should, period!

Good product. Installed on a 2004 GMC Canyon works like a charm. If you have electrical knowledge it's not to bad to wire in. Make sure your car is gonna be compatible. I disabled my shift lock as well. Didn't have to worry about the steering wheel lock as it doesn't have one. Soldered all my wires in along with making some deuts connectors. Don't use scotch locks. Keyless entry is pretty cool. The range for remote start is at least 150ft haven't tested it any farther.

All the negative reviews is because of the wrong installation or not reading the instruction manual, if you read complete instruction manual you will find all the information you need it. I was able to program my semi truck to start with the remote, I had to program 8 second delay starting point and start every time, and my doors i turn from manual unlocking to electric, after a month of use everything works as should. I’m very happy. If you don’t have any skills, don’t do it, seek professionals help.

There was an issue with the push start. Once the button was installed the car would push to start but would turn off. If tried the turn the car off the car would try to start again. Had professional install but they couldn’t turn the car off without unplugging the whole system. The remote start portion worked fine.

Where do I even begin. So I've had this unit installed in my Jeep for about 2 years now, and I couldn't be more unhappy with this device. For starters let's talk about the "passive" remote and its antenna. The unit came with 2 separate PKE antenna. When installed exactly as recommended by the manufacturer it would promptly loose all communication with the remote the moment you got in the vehicle. So after MUCH experimenting with the antennas the only configuration I could find that wouldn't constantly drop the signal was to place one of the antenna buried inside the center console, low enough in the vehicle that the key would function regardless of if it was in your pocket, bag, floor, or cup holder. So that's strike 1 against this thing. Now we'll move on to the fob activated remote start. Which basically has never worked. Or more accurately has never been allowed to work because for whatever reason when used it does start the jeep, but it fails to acknowledge that it started, and then proceeds to engage the starter again and grinding the teeth on the flywheel, and then again, and then one last time for good measure before finally turning off the relay pack and killing the running engine. The manufacturer recommended that the Vehicle started sense wire be connected to the fuel pump according to the installation guide, but that's highly impractical. So it also has the option of simply grounding the wire. Well as we now know what's a load of BS because that does nothing.[But as I sit here typing this out it occurs to me that the poorly translated instructions could have very likely meant connecting to a fuel injector which I could then fully understand how that could be used to know if the vehicle is running or not. So guess I'll be testing that out very soon and will update this with my results.]But the funs not over yet because we haven't talked about this things god awful hard coded programming. The unit is setup so that once the vehicle is turned off with the button it and a door has been opened, the moment it loses connection with the fob, 20 to 30 seconds later it locks the doors and arms the alarm. Which on its face doesn't seem that bad right? Wrong! It is hands down the worst part about this thing, because what that means is, no matter if you are actually ready or not, its 30 seconds from sounding the alarm every time you open your door and if you don't have it closed when it arms, you get blasted by the alarm. It does not care if you need to gather up your stuff, or unload groceries or whatever, if you take the key out of the range of the antenna (remembering the antenna are trash, and in my case cut in half just to function) the result is a system I have to leave the keys inside of most of the time just to unload the vehicle etc. Unlocking with the fob is useless too because it auto relocks 30 second later. And this is not at all reprogrammable. It's hard coded and locked in. Which is bat sh** crazy, who on earth NEVER wants their car unlocked. I want mine unlocked all the darn time, but can't unless I leave the key in the car. I at least want the option to unlock my car and it remain that way if I so choose. It's so stupid, and madding and frustrating and a royal pain in my back side, in its current (which is permanent) configuration. The antennas are where this thing really falls flat, because all the other features and functions rely on a solid uninterrupted communication with the fob inside AND outside the vehicle, and in my experience at least, that doesn't exist. So everything else suffers as a result. One last thing I've failed to mention is the brain boxes connectors. Tonight I had the unit leave me stranded in a parking lot when it failed to start the car. So after painstakingly digging out the black box from within my inner dashboard, I discovered that the terminals had lost connection due to mild corrosion between the harness and the pins on the brain box. So after removing and reseating all the plugs several times it all started working again. So I'll definitely be adding some dielectric grease to all of those tomorrow before putting my dash back together. In closing if you've made it this far, I'd say that if you're still not deterred and aim on buying it anyway, then what else can I say but, you're just as big a fool as I am, and you'll find out soon enough just how much you'll hate it too. Enjoy your new found misery!

Overall, this product is great for the price you pay. Yes the instructions could use some work, but as long as you have the schematics for your vehicle, it isn't hard to install. For my install, I decided to saw off the bracket securing the ignition cylingder to the steering wheel to avoid locking up my wheel. The remote start does take about an additional 7-8 seconds to start the car after you release the button, but the range is awesome. I believe I started the car from a distance of about 50-60 feet with direct line of sight. It would be cool if this came with an led indicating when it is locked.

I don't like to give one star reviews but this product requires expensive installation and waste of time before you can even test it. In my case I have chosen this one, despite being twice as expensive as the cheapest one, because I thought that a brand on the box might mean something. Unfortunately not. This unit is flashing my side lights continuously like a relay is in short. I had to take the dash apart again to take the fuses out to stop that and, despite not flashing my lights, it still makes the same noise from the relay which is really really annoying. At some point the doors are shutting and opening out of nowhere. I even replaced the battery in the key fob and still nothing. It's an expensive experiment. I will have to send it back, but I was quoted 250-300£ to have it installed and I cannot imagine how disappointing must be for someone who will have to loose all that money because of a bad unit. Luckily in my case I have installed it myself, but I still wasted 6 hours which meant almost 100£.Hopefully the replacement will be better
