I was trying to rebuild the same heater I've had for 25 to 30 years. Replaced just about everything that was replaceable but no go. The issue was it would run fine for about 5 minutes and then blue smoke would puff out and it would shut off. To cold to work on it in my garage so i bought a new one. Worked well for a week and started to do the same thing. I'm thinking maybe water is in the fuel. Didn't need it until January of this year. Started it up ran for 5 minutes then blue smoke. Tried a bottle of Heet and new fuel. It didn't work. Called the company got to troubleshoot the new one like the old one. Parts are coming for testing. I'll keep you posted.

This space heater is great for the shop. Kerosene or Diesel, I opted for Kerosene and it fired right up and brought the shop up to temp quick. No thermostat so it is manual on and off, but that is fine for this price range. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Put it together today, very straight forward. the metal cover opposite the temp control came dented, box not damaged. No biggie, might remove it and straighten the cover. Fueled it up with off road diesel and it runs great, the 135000 setting throws out alot of heat. The 95000 setting is plenty even in my drafty metal 1 1/2 car garage but you want some kind of a draft with this type of heater. Ran it for about 3 hours today, got one smokey poof starting it but i was messing with it on and off and it is diesel so it is what it is. it's so much better than the old timey sears heater i was using and seems to burn alot cleaner. For under 300 bucks, runs well on cheap offroad diesel, what's not to like if it holds up. Don't know why i didn't get it sooner. Update, second time i fired it up it would not light and errored out twice, took the top off and discovered that the igniter gap was to narrow. Had to open it up to the correct gap and that seemed to correct the problem, made a mess of fuel on the 2 failed attempts to light. Adjusted the pump pressure a little too, the book says to set pressure on the high setting but that put the low setting 1/2 a psi to high so I split the difference because I'd rather have the low setting run at the right pressure as that will be my primary setting. Who knows if that Chinese gauge is even that accurate anyways. Hope thats the last issue I have out of it.

Works well and lots of heat, bounces around in my service truck and fires up everytime and anywhere. Used it to thaw a frozen 6 inch water pump on the weekend and had the job done in a couple hours.

Honestly...I was initially skeptical, but filled it with diesel fuel from the local service station, (about half the price of our local kerosene), plugged it in--and flipped the switch on ! Couldn't be simpler !Toasty warm in minutes.Near as I can tell, this thing will run 14-16 hours on a fill, but your garage is going to be warm in less than an hour if you need to work. It was -4C outside, and I was working comfortably in my insulated 1200 square foot shop in less than a half hour. The only thing I wish it had...was a 'cool down' fan, so when you shut it off....it just doesn't go from FULL HEAT to 'off'. Something the manufacturer might consider later, but simpler is often better !Great product.

Excellent quality. Very satisfied with this heater. Been using it for a couple months now. I live in Texas so my winter is rather mild, but on those days it does dip into the 40's, 30's and even a few days in the 20's, this heater has been great. I used to have a propane heater and this one is by far 10 times better. thermostat works great. I get great gas mileage. I use diesel and the specs say it uses about 1 gallon per hour of use, but mine is somewhat better than that. The first week I used it for just under 9 hours of use (not counting the off time between thermostat cycles) and it only used 1/2 tank (5 gal) of diesel. I am told it wold get better mileage with kerosene, but I have not tried kerosene since that is harder to find down here. My shop is about 50'x30' and this heats it up pretty nice. when the temp outside is about 45, it takes about 15-20 minutes to heat the shop up to about 65.Update: Here we are 3 years later and the heater is still working like new-Perfect. I like this heater so much, I purchased another one. The 135K btu works great in my larger shop, but I needed one for my smaller shop (less than half the size of the larger). So I purchased the 50,000 but unit. Just as I was with the larger unit, I am not disappointed with the 50K. Works perfect and heats up the shop in about 30 minutes to the point that I can turn it off for a couple hours. This shop is about 12'x30'. If anything should change in the future I will return here to update this review.

This heater throws a lot of heat. In the dead of winter it makes my uninsulated garage a hot box. I have been burning diesel fuel in it which is way cheaper than Kerosene with no issues at all.
