Filling up, plug it in and turn it on. 50k BTU's of heat! I didn't find it all the noisy. Kept us warm in our 2.5 car garage while it was 12 outside. Wasn't particularly smelly either.

My 137,000 BTU heater crapped out. Before it did it was awesome. Heated a 2 car garage from freezing to 75 in 20 mins.I took a chance thinking 50,000 btu might be enough for a 2 car garage. It isn’t. Had it on for 70 minutes and only raised the temperature from 32 to 40.It may work enough for a 1 car garage. If you need heat for anything larger than a 1 car garage, spend the extra money for a 100,000+ BTU heater. You’ll thank me later.It is very quiet though. I was impressed by the low operating volume. I was also impressed bungee total lack of kerosene smell during operation. Burns very clean.

Works good to keep my basement from freezeing,i use is for approx 1 hour a day in winter,just to keep basement from freezeing.This is the 50000 btu ,i used to have a 75000 btu,the 50 ijust got ,fuel last longer,it burns plenty hot enough to do what i need.i burn desiel fuel in it and after useing it for the first hour,it burns clean,i think all heaters and stoves smell the first hour till paint and assembly lub bake dry.they are probably all the same sound level,but not all will burn diesel fuel.it run good ,i have hade it only 2 weeks so far. I like it.

We got this heater to knock the chill off of our garage/gym. It took a few tries to get the fuel pressure set, and it worked great for a few days. It suddenly stopped working and I walked through all of the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual.The kicker…THIS ITEM IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURNS!I’ve tried calling Dura Heat directly with no luck.I’m suggest you try to buy a heater locally so that issues can be more easily resolved.

heat very well but it smell like sh...!!! It's really for heating a space rapidely with the person outside even if you open a window....Dont understand why people say the leave the garage door slitghtly opened...first you are heating the outside, second everything that crawl can get in...I use it to de-ice my atv when it's packed of ice and snow and it works very well...
