This is a cable that will let you hook up a dvi-out connection to a VGA in device. My computer has DVI out, but not VGA. My projector has HDMI, but all the HDMI inputs are already being used by other devices. This was the best way to bridge the computer and the projector with the least amount of drama. The cable is long enough to reach the desktop on the floor to the projector on the wall a few feet up.

I recently tried this DVI to VGA cable, and while it has some positives, I encountered significant issues.Build Quality: The cable fits well and appears to be of high quality. The gold-plated connectors and braided design suggest durability.Performance: Unfortunately, I’m experiencing a very dark screen on my monitor when using this cable. The issue persists even when I switch to a different monitor, which leads me to believe the problem might be with the cable itself. The graphics card works fine with other ports, so the issue doesn’t seem to be with the graphics card.Recommendation: Given the screen darkness problem, I can’t recommend this cable. It’s disappointing because the build quality seemed promising, but the performance issues overshadowed its advantages.

I needed an adapter for an older monitor. This worked perfectly. Very easy to use and fits perfectly into the older monitor. Price feels about right for the adapter. I recommend reading all the details to be sure this is the proper adapter for you. Looks good overall.

My computer has a DVI video output. When the monitor that went with that computer failed, I wanted to switch to my prior monitor, but it just has a VGA input. I ordered this cable to convert the DVI output to the VGA input for the monitor. It works perfectly. While not the new wide screen format, the old monitor still provides good resolution with vivid colors. The cable itself seems to be higher quality than a typical monitor cable, and I like the little hook and loop wrap to bundle up the excess wire. This is a great way to get more life out of retired monitor.

Not too much to say about a cable... It works perfectly, good construction materials make it feel durable.Important, the transmission is only from DVI to HDMI, the other way around is not allowed. Likewise, it is only video without sound.As these are ports with a large number of pins, make sure they are clean before connecting as dirt could affect the transmission.

This DVI to VGA cable gets the job done for connecting older monitors to more modern devices like PCs. The connectors have a reliable signal transmission, I had no issues, and the braided cable adds a layer of durability that holds up well with frequent use.It’s important to note that this cable is uni-directional, so it only works from DVI-D to VGA, not the other way around. Also, since VGA is analog, the quality is capped at 1080p, which is fine for most setups but not ideal for high resolution displays. For everyday use, it’s a sturdy and dependable choice.

Nothing fancy but get the job done. Seems sturdy enough, not the most malleable of cords but as long as you don’t have to go around any tight corners it should work for you just fine. Very easy install and no issues with display.

I needed a quick and cheap cable to resurrect an old PC and get some data off. Needed VGA > DVI and this fit the bill. Very nice, thin, and flexible with quality connectors and a nice woven braid. No reason to not love this cable!
