This dog toy is sturdy and cute! My dog is more of a ball lover, but this winter we’ve gradually lost all the toys in the 3 foot snowbanks in my yard. Until spring releases the balls I wanted something colorful and irregularly shaped so it might be easier to find while playing in the snow. This cute trout has remained visible fairly well. I appreciate that the squeaker isn’t too loud and that there are different textures on the toy. I’d recommend this brand for sure!

My dog is a super aggressive chewer. She loves to tear things apart. This one lasted longer than a day - a total win!! Super cute and she had a lot of fun throwing it around. She chewed on it all day but did not completely destroy it like she does other toys.

I have a shih tzu / Yorkie mix that is a master destructor. She's been doing her best over the last couple weeks to destroy this fish with no success. She's pretty quick to get so many toys that seem to be a bit more durable to degrade rapidly, but not this one. She loves to carry it around and work on it around the house. The fish has a few different textures which I think she likes, too. So far, it's a great toy that's handling the abuse well.

I thought my dog would love this. He’s sort of indifferent. The foster puppy who it was too big for was really excited by it though. So, maybe it depends on the dog. It is designed for rougher play / chewing. I can’t really judge how well it holds up since my super chewer wasn’t interested.

Dog toys have become increasingly expensive, especially ones advertised as being for "tough chewers." I wasn't expecting all that much for (at the time of review price of) $13. The Bluegill variety is extremely tough! I have a 100 lb Doberman that gets through most toys - even the expensive "tough" ones - in less than an hour. He has been playing fetch with, chewing on, and abusing this toy constantly for 3 days. Even at this point, if it falls apart tomorrow, it will still be worth it for how much abuse it took compared to most other toys.

Review of "Durable Plush Outdoor Toys for Dogs | Squeaky Spotted Trout | Fun Fishing Themed Dog Toy for Tough Chewers". Pics included. Current price $14.99.This Trout is super well made. The stitching is really well done, the fabric is tough, and the fin and tail is reinforced with a durable rubber. My GSD is hard on toys, and while her giant teeth will eventually make work of this, I can tell already that it is going to last much longer than some of the other tough toys I have ordered.
