Tried using for a computer monitor with a VGA 15-pin (female) to a computer tower with an RGB 9-pin (male). Cord purchased was correct with one end VGA 15-pin (male) to an RGB 9-pin (male) that came with an RGB 9-pin female to RGB 9-pin female adapter (the “mini gender changer”). Unfortunately, the computer (Windows 10 Pro) detected NO signal. Also, to remedy the cord being too short since it’s only 18” I stacked the monitor on top of the computer tower in order to reach. Still, no signal detected even after updating display and monitor drivers. Perhaps the adapter between 9-pin and the computer just isn’t powerful enough to conduct a signal? Won’t even bother returning and it’ll sit in a junk drawer until it works for something else.

Cable is too small, the male to female adapter falls apart easily, and if you have a long enough cable to connect to your device you get no signal.

This was a two-piece product rather than an actual DB9 female to VGA Male, the adapter piece was not put soundly together with one plate coming off at first, had to jerryrig this to be an actual adapter by moving its nuts around for its own screws to go through the adapter to secure it to my PC. When I decided to remove it to put away for a bit, it started to literally fall apart, it’s prongs to connect the associated pins to allow a signal conversion fell out the plastic piece that the metal covers just loosely fitted
