This marking pen is used to transfer pattern marking, needlecraft & quilting designs. The pen contains water-soluble ink and is not recommended for dry clean only fabric.

This is my 'go-to' for all marking. Can't guess how many I have drained dry over the years. You don't need a heavy hand. Blue comes out completely, even using a damp Q-Tip. But...don't expect it to show up on dark fabric.

I ordered this pen in October 2024 to go over some lines on an embroidery project that had faded. I didn’t get around to opening the package to go over the lines until early January 2025. The pen was practically dry. It worked for a few marks. I researched how to revive it, and found that rubbing alcohol poured into the no marking end would work. I tried that twice. The felt tip appears to be saturated, but it still doesn’t work as I expected. This was a waste of my money!

This pen is too thick and smears in projects so it is not a precise lime to follow but it comes right off in water.

Use this all the time for helping me count with my counted cross stitch. Washes right out when I wash my finished piece with luke warm water and a little Dawn dishwashing liquid.

This erasable/washable pen (blue) seems to mark on fabric in suitable fashion. I haven't used it extensively, only testing it on some felt for cutting with pinking scissors. Since the fabric is felt, it will not be washed. This review is not really complete.

I'm a longarmer, trying my hand at custom work. Used other pens, but like this the best. It's water soluble, so the marks are on there until I get to that particular section.

These marking pens work great! Some markers are hard or impossible to remove from fabric but these work as described. This brand has other similar pens, look carefully at which kind you buy. I wanted water soluble only and had to read descriptions carefully. I like the fine point. My only criticism is that I ordered 2 pens and they came in a box. Could have gone in a smaller box or padded envelope to be a little more environmentally friendly. Bottom line, pens are great, packaging for mailing wasteful.

Both pens are extremely dry, do not produce a mark at all on my garments, will be returning immediately.

I've used tailor's chalk, frixion pens, disappearing pens, tracing paper -- you name it -- because that's what you have to do when working on different projects, with different fabrics. While you can't use these pens on everything you sew, I'm always happier when I can use them. Especially the blue one -- in my experience it washes out beautifully, easily and completely. Point is fine enough for quilting designs, apparel patternmarking & construction notations etc.If I want to re-mark some lines in mid-project, a spray bottle or wet Q-tip is enough to get rid of what I've drawn with these pens. They're my go-to, for sure.
