This kind of clamp is usually made of stainless steel. However if it touches the skin while in use, metal can feel uncomfortably cold and can be heavy. This nonmetal (nylon?) clamp is very lightweight but certainly strong enough for use on flexible tubing.

It works great for my feeding tube, and makes it a little easier to get multiple things done with 2 hands..

I have been using these to clamp a feeding tube to slow down the flow rate and to pinch it off when I want to stop the flow and prevent a geyser when coughing. Works great!

I've been using this thing religiously on my feeding tube (G Tube). It's been holding up well and I use it numerous times a day. You know, I wish I didn't have to but here I am.If you need something for IV lines and feeding tubes to help clamp them - this is it. It's cheap and holds on to things super tight. It's light weight and small enough. The clamp is holding up with no damage to the plastic and I've been rough with it a few days because some days I just don't want to do this.Get one for now or get one for the future. Put it away in the medicine cabinet or utility drawer. You'll be glad you did even if you don't need it now.The price is very fitting. I'd suggest to get two. One being a backup.

I bought these clamps because I had drains I needed to strip. With the surgery I had and the drain placement, it was hard to do pinch and pull. These clamps allowed me to pinch the tubing and then strip the drain effectively. It worked exactly how I’d hoped.

For the price, I was surprised at how well it worked. Family member had a catheter that had to be plugged for 2 weeks. Unplug every 3 hours, replug after bladder draining. The nurse in the Urologist office used this type of device to set this up. Worked perfectly to block urine flow while removing plug at home. I would recommend this item to someone in need of this device short term. It's plastic instead of stainless but was never a problem. Wiped down with alcohol prep pad after each use.

My brother's best friend has a huge tumor on his neck (cancer) and cancer on the back of his tongue that makes it difficult to eat. As such, he is 6 ft tall and now looks like a concentration camp victim at 113 pounds. They put in a g-tube so that he can be fed bolusly bypassing his throat. The problem is that when you go to open his tube and hook up either the syringe or gravity bag, the tube can leak. Even more so with a full stomach when you go to unhook. They tell you to "pinch it off" but that leave you with only one hand to do everything else and when you don't have a lot of strength doesn't do well. My son had a feeding tube for his first 6.5 years until he had major stomach surgery, and we used a clamp like these. I tried unsuccessfully to get Quorum to supply us with a clamp, but they don't even carry them which I found quite shocking. I was able to find these on amazon and hoped they would handle the size of the tube. They work great!. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5, is because although they lock easily, it is a little more difficult to unlock them. Not much, just a little. Part of this is because I went for price, and for the price they work great. But it is plastic, and you have to train yourself (doesn't take long) on how to move your hand to unlock the scissors. Once you've practiced it works great for the price. I would buy these again.
