What I didn't like, while it hopefully doesn't have any adverse effect on the quality of the strings (still to be determined) was the state of the packaging. The package was literally destroyed, torn and looked like it had been tossed into the trash. No one should ever receive a parcel in this condition, regardless of the content or price paid. I would choose not to ever buy this brand again.

The strings ordered were for a four string tenor banjo as described. The strings *delivered* were regular banjo strings for a five string banjo. Useless for the purpose purchased.

Bottom three are pretty good but the A is much too... I don't know... twangy, tinny, shrill? Sounds kinda sour.

Nothing spectacular and I thought they would be better. They do the job but not any better than others we have used so can't say I would be sad if they were not offered.

I thought that I would try these, and find them to be excellent reasonably priced banjo strings! I like the strum feel to them with good tone!

I must admit, I'm not a professional player. But I've owned and played banjoes for over 45 years now. I bought these strings in a hurry online without giving them much thought. Am I glad I did. These are very good strings. Excellent quality, strong sound, and they hold their tone. They also just feel good on the fingers. Don't know quite what it is, but they're the best strings I've used in years. The package arrived on time and in excellent shape.PROS:--Great sound and strength--Strings hold tone--Have a light, comfortable feelCONS:--NoneI will definitely buy more of these when the time comes.

Great deal on quality tenor banjo stings. These strings are better than others I've paid much more for. Simply put- excellent strings at an unbeatable price! NOTE- I just discovered that the price has gone quite a bit since I purchased these in early September, but they are still a good value and I will buy more when needed.

These strings are simply the best. Whether it's the extra tight compact winding of the silver over steel or just the plain steel itself they hold tone like no other. On my early 20th century banjo it's really saying something when the morning tuning will essentially last until night. Beyond that the pairing of sizes on a tenor banjo (4 string) is just right. Compared to all others on my banjo these hold the tune and the tone to make it through a live piece in tune where no others can. Highly recommended USA made product, hats off to DR.
