Unfortunately, these do not puncture through the wire insulation consistently. It took several tries to get one good pair connected.

Would not waste my time on these again. Cheaply made and do not create an accurate connection with the wire. The majority of my connections did not work because the connectors did not puncture the plastic coating on the wires.

I haven't used these yet but they seem to be okay, the construction is a a little flimsy, but they do connect and disconnect easily. The thing to note about these is that the description doesn't tell you what gauge wire these are for, just looking that them they appear to be 14 to 16 gauge.

These little connectors save so much time when you are doing little projects! They are advertised for LED connection, which I know would be a good use for them, but I actually find uses for this all the time. For example, my son has a large model train that doesn't work with the remote anymore. I bypassed the controller and put a manual switch on it. Required connecting a few wires. As I was putting it together, I wanted the connections to be removable, so I could get down in it, and preferably, kind of reversible. If I didn't have these, I would be using wago connectors (which are good, but meant for much larger wire) or using one of the other connector types: those rocker things are OK, but they never seem to hold or make good connections. Then there are some that require you to crimp connectors on, but they are too much trouble.These connectors are a wonderful blend of easy to attach to wires and easy to attach/detach together. You don't even have to find the male and female version because they are all the same. They save a lot of time and don't require any tools. I will use them often going forward, when I'm working with low voltage wires (Arduino stuff, model trains, etc.).Anyway, I love them.

If you are putting up LED fixtures and want to run permanent wiring but want the ability to easily change out the LED lights, these connectors are great! The work well with typical 18/2 wire. You insert the two wires into holes on the clear portion, then press down to connect and secure them. They use insulation displacement connections, so no need to strip the wire, which makes them quick and easy to use. Once you have both sides installed, just push them together in the correct orientation and they securely snap into place, takes a fair amount of force to separate them.Makes for quick easy installation of LED lights, very happy with these and will definitely keep a stock on hand for this sort of work!

WARNING NOTE: these have a very tiny opening for small gauge wire only. I had to drill the holes larger to fit a MR16 harness wire into the holes. I have not completed this project yet and I will send a follow up review to see if i remove my star rating to a1.
