Stability & functionality was good . This aider had the double thickness, wide straps, very reliable and good stitching. Its great for your footing and the reflected tape is nice , for the way down at night. I can roll it up and store in my gear bag or pouch on my saddle. Great value for the price. I would recommend this product.

I was finally able to use this climbing aider and I love it!As I prepare for the upcoming deer season, I found a place on public land that looks like it should produce. However, carrying a climber in and out multiple times is not a great option. So I carried in a hang on stand with a set of climbing sticks. I am always apprehensive about putting stands on public land because in my state other hunters are allowed to use them if they are unoccupied. With this aider I am able to attach to my first climbing stick (which can now be at least 5' higher than I normally place it). I can then climb the rest of my sticks to my stand. On my way out all I have to do is take the aider off the first stick and carry it back to the truck. This not only allows my stand to be higher than it usually is, but provides an extra level of security. Previously, I would just take the bottom climbing stick with me, but carrying this strap in my bag is easier and quieter as it doesn't snag branches or brush as I move through the woods.The stitches are heavy duty and the straps are thick enough that I expect it should last at least 10 years with good care.

I am using this ladder as a temporary access into a tree from the ground. I have permanent ropes and foot holds above the ladder. I will only install this ladder when I am actively climbing and hanging out in the tree. I don't want neighborhood kids trying to enter my tree without permission.The product description page calls this a three step ladder, but I would consider this ladder having four steps. The top step is a shorter distance above the other steps, but it still can easily be stepped on and it has the reflective material sewn on that the other three steps contain as well.The webbing is 1/16th inch (1.8 mm) thick. The product pictures claim 0.39 inches thickness, but that is incorrect. The steps have two layers of webbing plus the reflective material and only gauge 0.15 inches (4 mm) thick. The stated width of the webbing is correct at 1.77 inches.The high visibility/reflectiive material on the steps is a good addition. I don't plan to use this ladder in low light conditions, but it will come in handy if the situation arises.Using this webbing ladder is never as easy as standing on a rigid ladder. It is more comfortable stepping on this ladder if the steps aren't right up against the tree. Some air space between the tree and the ladder make it easier for a foot to contact the steps.

This very sturdy but lightweight ladder is made very well. I like the reflective stripe as well. If you have to climb a tree, this is thick and heavy duty and works well. If you are using it on your children’s jungle gym, it’s best to have something sturdy as well.This would be a great gift for a hunting enthusiast or someone who does deep-sea diving and needs to get back into a boat, as well as what I got it for which was to go on our play area for the kids. You can also adjust the tightness of the loop around the anchor if you want more security.My husband is retired now and is a part-time police officer still, he is very safety conscience and I could see him adding this ladder to his emergency equipment in case he ever has a need to help someone escape from a fire that does not have a second story staircase.This is full proof to use and set up, it also came packaged very well and shipped very quickly.
