This unit is not quite like the OEM... the tube comes out at an angle and it riveted onto the base plate. I thought the unit came "broken" with the tube pulled out of the joint. But, looking at the picture now, it seems that is the inended design. for my application I had to drill out rivet on the support and re-insert the tube toa the angle with into the plastic housing. I found a pan head screw to replace the rivet. I got it back together... The tube support holes did not align perfectly with the base (likely due to the rework). Anyway, its mounted and will hopefully never be needed to use. I did not take pics during the process unfortunately. Good luck to those with a 2007 PilotWhy did you pick this product vs others?:cost

For all of those that complain about the 5-point socket - this adaptor is inside (bottom) the lig wrench, past the hex 19mm wrench for the lugs. the 5-points are built inside the recess. You DO NOT NEED AN ADDITIONAL TOOL socket or wrench or adaptor or visegrips to lower/raise your spare tire. This is a 1:1 replacement to the OEM spare winch, and works perfect for its cost.

This worked perfect to replace our broken one on our Honda Pilot. It was easy to install but you do need two people and one of you has to crawl under the car.

Perfect to replace my rusted and defective tire hoist. You just have to grease it when you install and put in your spare tire to make sure it keeps the rust away.

It did fit the bolt holes in my 2002 Acura MDX, but the cable would not extend or retract and the crank shaft had a strange 5 sided top that didn't fit the tire wrench or any other metric or US socket in that I know of so even if it did work it would be very difficult to raise or lower the tire.

Fit was good for my 2004 Honda pilot. However the nut that raises and lowers the tire is a 5 point socket and appears to be a 10 mm. Good luck finding one of those. I had to use a pair of vise grips to raise and lower the tire. So now I carry vise grips in my jack compartment. Hopefully I will not need to use it.

Fits perfectly, works great. I lubed up the cable as I was lifting the tire. I'm hoping it lasts. I plan on lowering the spare and lubing the cable twice a year, unlike the original owner of this vehicle.
