I wast pleasantly surprised how easy it was for a non-mechanic to replace this motor. Works like the factory part. No difference in performance.

I used Youtube for instructions. Surprisingly straightforward, and the window works like new.

I lowered my window going through the drive-thru and I heard crunch, bang, and knock. Then, my window wouldn't go up again. Several attempts to press the button to raise and lower the window had no effect. What happened? I didn't think the glass broke but I didn't know. Upon a YouTube search, I guessed it was the power window assembly and motor. All of the electrical seemed fine.It took just one hour to disassemble my Honda Element driver's side door and indeed, the window was intact and the clips for the two bolts were secure. I ordered this replacement part and it arrived, on-time, 2-days later. The installation went as good as could be expected. In just 90-minutes, I had the entire part installed and the door completely re-assembled. Just a few days later, and the window is going up and down like it was brand new.The only two problems were as follows:1) Upon removing the small, triangle trim sash piece, right above the door lock by your left shoulder, I fully cracked the plastic. The clip was really tight and as gentle as I was, I cracked the 14-year-old plastic. Upon replacement, it functions fine and does not rattle. It's only cosmetic so I may use some glue or purchase a replacement for about $16.2) Once I fully re-assembled everything, first confirming the part was working problem, I noticed that the Automatic Car Door Unlock Button worked but the Automatic Car Door Lock Button, on the driver's door, did NOT work. My key fob worked fine to Lock and Unlock. I Googled search and found that by holding the Inside Car Door Handle Latch fully OPEN and then hitting the Lock Button, it worked. I let the Handle go and since then the Lock/Unlock Button has worked perfectly.Fingers-crossed this part will work fine for the next 14-years. I highly recommend it. Take your time. Follow the instructions or YouTube videos and this DIY project will probably save you about $500. You can do it and you'll feel satisfied when you do. Cheers!

The install is fairly simple. My OEM Honda one finally broke a clip after all these years. Motor was still good but made more sense to change the entire unit. For the price this replacement has been good. All the hardware holes lined up fine. I have 2 complaints.First- the wiring harness that comes attached is about 6” shorter than OEM. That means you can’t utilize the clips that keep the wires from interfering with any moving components. That also means the wire moves a bit and I assume will prematurely wear. The second thing-this really bugs me-The metal track is thinner than the OEM one. At first I didn’t notice any drawbacks. Then one nice day I had my window partially rolled down and noticed the glass vibrates in the wind since the metal that holds it steady is thinner. alAt first I thought maybe I didn’t tighten the hardware to mount the glass back properly. But I found torque specs, took out everything and reinstalled using OEM specs. Still shakes in the wind. It’s really annoying.Overall this is a cheap replacement and it performs great for the price. The motor is whisper quiet, maybe faster than OEM. It’s a very smooth operation.I’m pretty happy with this product (at least on days I don’t have the window partially down). If your Element window abruptly drops like mine, this is for you. It’ll have you back to being comfortable and keeping your car safe in about an hour.BTW-exactly 2 weeks after my driver side window dropped, the passenger did as well. So I’ve bought this a few times now.Been a few months and everything works fine.

Installed the product easily by watching a video on YouTube in about 30mins. The hardest part was taking off the damn door case. Its been about 3 weeks and works great. Arrived earlier than expected, in great condition. If your looking to save a few Hundred bucks from the dealership this is a great alternative if your a handy person.Highly Recommend it!

Driver side window regulator went out in the Element...AGAIN! Last time was 3 years ago. Not sure why it seemed to go out so quickly being that I don't exactly live in a windows-down type area (cold winter, hot summer, dusty year round). But these things happen so had to source another regulator. Of course, Amazon has them for great prices! And who wants to pay the dealership a ton for the privilege of waiting all day for it.I'm not very auto / mechanically inclined but even I was able to replace this by myself this time. Last time an auto-expert friend helped me out in his fully decked out garage. This time I was on my own so I was a little nervous. But turns out it went great with very little trouble. Not that much to it. A little tricky getting the old part out and the new part in, but that was the trickiest part about it. Works perfectly now and hopefully not something I change much more often.A couple of tips though:1) If you are fixing this alone like I was, or even with somebody, I highly recommend taping the window in the up position with 2 or 3 pieces of long clear tape (nothing that leaves residue or hard to clean up). A little tricky doing this by yourself, but carefully and making sure you don't drop the window, it made the install easier and safer.2) Not sure if this goes for all years of Elements, but the old regulator had tie clips to secure it to the door. This new one does not. Not a big deal, it's not necessary. But I did manage to salvage the old ties by carefully extracting them intact and using it on the newly installed one. Took a little time but it's worth it. Just have to note the position it was installed in and then match it to the new one.3) Speaking of clips, it does come with the main orange one that secures the main power connector to the door. It wasn't apparent, even in instruction videos that you have to break the old one off. But break it you do and the other one connects perfectly. The thing to note is that once this is attached, it doesn't come off any more without breaking (that I know of). So make sure you have already lined it up the way you want it and ensure you are ready to have it permanently on there. The only thing I somewhat messed up on is I attached this and then found out the wires behind the door weren't put under another set of wires. Not a big problem, but I like making sure things are as neat as possible. So plan ahead.4) Mounting the motor on the door was a bit of a tight fit. What I mean is, it required a little pulling to get it to mount to the door. Once it was on, it's fine but it was a little struggle. Not sure if it's anything I did, but just something of note. All in all, a great product at a great price. Should this happen again, would buy from this seller again without hesitation.
