Really can’t beat it for the price , just do some measuring, little bit of chiseling if needed or use a isolating tool if you have one works perfect!

In an effort to harden my home, I bought two of these, one for each door. Very rugged and easy to install.

Five stars for this product! I ordered for my dad’s house and I wanted to give it an extra star but it didn’t give me an option. Now when he locks his door at night, you could feel the increased security, it literally locks the door in place so firmly. 100% value for the Money and the ease of installation. I will order another for my house.

Replaced the latches that came with the locks for one of these. It’s way sturdier.Watch out for some subtleties when installing. Typically if the latches have been done properly , they are slight offset, one latching first. The door knob’s bolt will close first and actually apply tension holding the door closed in a way that allows the deadbolt to slide easily without friction against the sidewall of the latch hole. This is important to maintain especially if you have an electronic door lock. Free entry ensures your door can unlock and lock remotely with ease. Why I bring this up is with these reinforced door plates being one solid piece, it doesn’t properly offset the one of the door holes in the way mentioned above and you have to install it with a slight slant to allow the door knob to latch in a way that allows the locking deadbolt to slide freely into the latch hole without hitting the edge of its respective cutout hole. It will all make sense when you are installing it yourself.I used a pencil to sketch the shape then a chisel to mortise out the matching shape. Careful not to get carried away and make it too deep or to cut off too much wood. Once your get started it’s actually not too hard to do, the wood is soft. Watch a few videos on how to hold the chisel.Using 3” screws is good for the holes closer to the exterior however you’ll notice that in most door frames there is nothing for these screws to grab on the holes closer to the interior of the home. If you want to change that you’ll have to pull open the moulding around your door frame and you’ll notice a big gap, you have to shim that. If you do this, the latch plate will be held on much more securely.Good luck!

After I installed my first, I realized I should do the same at the other entrance. I'm pleased with the value.

Had a hard time installing as my interior door frame is metal cladded as it turns out. Finally was able to fit when I ordered a metal drill bit to make holes and seems much more secure than the old one!

The strike plate is well made and of good quality. I would happily buy this product again. Directions are printed on the back of the package and very basic. That said installation is straightforward. I wrapped some scotch tape around it self to make it double sided and stuck it to the back of the strike plate for the install, so I could test before drilling. As to the rating. I gave it 5 stars. The strike plate is great. The screws are however not so great. They would get 2 stars. It wasn't possible for me to drill 3 inch pilot holes. The screws became difficult to advance after about 2 inches. Out came the Bosh hammer screwdriver, and the first two long screws promptly broke. I ended up using 1.5 inch deck screws which worked quite well. The picture shows how/where the screws broke.
