We are hard on sanders. Our shop has been through several DeWalt orbitals in the past six years. We replaced broken belts many times and the pads as needed. As they age their RPM's increase excessively and start to damage our work. This Dong Cheng is almost half the price. The variable speed is awesome for our woodworking. After just one hour, we can see its an upgrade from non-variable speed alternatives. Can't speak to its longevity as its brand new. But given the price, when it breaks we'll just replace it. The heavy duty carry bag is a bonus as we always use them for small tools and supplies.

I haven’t had it long enough to swear to its durability, but I would be really shocked if it has any problems at all. The tool is as heavy duty a tool as my Dewalt sanders, plus it’s much less expensive, and has speed control to boot. In fact, I’m excited to try a few other tools by the same company. So far I’m loving it! It is solid as a rock, works great, is the same size as my other sanders and the dust-control seems even better than the others. So far it is excellent in every way.

I was initially hesitant about the Dong Cheng 5-Inch Random Orbital Sander, but it exceeded my expectations. For a brand I had never heard of, this sander is a workhorse! The 380W motor and six variable speeds handled my woodworking project with ease, and the included 20 sandpapers were a great bonus. The detachable dust bag was effective, keeping my workspace clean. Highly recommend for its performance and value! used it to build a farmhouse dining table and it never hesitated once to work.

I recently purchased the Dong Cheng orbital sander, and I have to say, I am beyond impressed with its performance and value for the price! For just $35, this sander exceeded my expectations in several ways.First off, the build quality is excellent—it feels heavy-duty and not at all cheap. The sander comes with a nice black and blue nylon carrying case, which makes it easy to store and transport. It’s also equipped with a variable speed control, allowing you to adjust to different speeds depending on your project needs—a feature I didn’t expect at this price point.Switching between grits is a breeze, making it very user-friendly. It came with extra motor brushes, a carrying strap, a dust bag, and a few sanding discs to get started, which was a nice touch. I also bought an additional 150 sanding discs for about $10-$15, so I’m set for a while!In terms of performance, it’s quieter than I expected and very efficient. I’ve already tested it on three or four small projects, and it handled them effortlessly. The dust bag works well to keep things relatively clean, and it’s easy to empty.Overall, this is an outstanding sander for the price. It offers features you’d typically find in much more expensive models. If you’re on the fence about buying this, don’t hesitate—this sander is a great investment for any DIYer or woodworking enthusiast.
