Cheaply made. Not worth the money … nothing like the picture on the website

Their service was very rapid and appreciated. The item works great. We are swimming in 90° water. However, I had to improvise in order to hook it up to my pool as my pool hoses were bigger than the connectors for the heater and the smaller hoses for the heater would not work on my pool connections, therefore I do have a slight leak, but nothing you can’t live with very happy with this product would highly recommend it

Not at all easy to work with. The system for roof installation I was not happy with. Need brackets and flat screws that can slide underneath shingles. To mount it onto plywood as pictured is a task in itself. Panels have multiple strips that are nothing like the picture shown. Despite all of that it cost me $145 to ship it back. If the description was better I would not have bought it at all.

We had the previous version of this panel from 2014 - 2022 when it got so many leaks it was more like a sprinkler than a water heater. Bought this thinking it would be a like for like replacement. Sadly, it is not. The 2.5' panels of the old one were solid except for small slits where it sat on the hooks for the hanging system. These, each 2.5' section has 4 smaller sections. It is absolutely horrible to work with and makes hanging it very difficult. I almost feel like we need to tape it all together on the back side to get them to all lay flat and not overlap one another. Three stars for crappy re-design of a product that used to be perfect.

When the pump is running, you can definitely feel a temperature difference with the water returning from the heater. Pool has been nice and warm since we installed the heater.

BAD : MAJOR TOOLING MISTAKE DURING MANUFACTURING OF END RINGS ON HEADERS IN CHINA.AFTER REWORK, USING DREMEL TOOLING , THE HEADERS ARE NO LONGER LEAK FREE.Thin O-rings inside O-ring grooves are not robust .GOOD: MATERIAL USED FOR CHANNELS IS MUCH MORE FLEXIBLE ( =Rubber like feel) THAN VERY BRITTLE (= Hard plastic feel) MATERIAL USED ON “SUNHEATER 120 U " AS WELL AS “FAFCO BIG BEAR " SOLAR HEATERS. THE WIDER CHANNELS ARE MORE ROBUST THAN ON “SUNHEATER" AND “FAFCO", THE LATTER BOTH HAVE TINY , BRITTLE CHANNELS, WHICH ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO UNROLL.”FAFCO BIG BEAR “ IS TOO STIFF AND TIGHTLY PACKED INSIDE UNDERSIZED CARTON PACKAGING, WHOSE LAST 6 FEET /24 FEET LENGTH ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO UNROLL WITHOUT CRACKING SEVERAL CHANNELS TOWARDSTHE END OF 24 FT> HVH- MARCH 1, 2022

It works so good I turn it off when water hits 85! I live near Boston so this is great. You might wonder how did I turn off? I bought some "Y" ball valves and a small hose. so I can just rotate valve to straight return and bypass solar. (I did mark which way to turn Solar/return).Make sure in fall you really drain water left inside will expand and crack resulting in leak.I used a "C" clamp to compress 90 then I easily rotated to lock fitting onto panel. This is my second as I did not drain and had leaks now I know better.

This was not a plug-n-play as I expected. I was replacing my older (different brand) panels with the higher rated/reviewed Doheny's. They do seem more robust but the size was not exact. My old panels were 2x10 and these were listed as 2x10 panels. It is actually 1 1x10 panels. No problem right..?.. wrong because there is a connector between each set. Therefore where I could fit 2 - 2ft panels, I could now only fit 3 - 1ft panels. Another FYI, the piping is all 1 1/4" connection where as all of my piping is 1 1/2". Not a big deal, just need a few other plumbing items from the local Home Depot. This system will demand a bit more from your motor, probably reflected in my next power bill but definitely worth it.Besides this, they work as advertised. The water coming through the jets was definitely warmer to the touch - I think I gained 5 degrees and had the panels on for 3 hours. If I left the system running all day, I'm sure I could get 10 degrees.
