Good product, seems sturdy. Easy to control the flow rate, but max flow is so so, albeit good enough for its intended purpose.

Needs adapter , and with the holes made in the valve as well as the looseness of it I doubt it’ll circulate enough water to make a difference

I'm not sure what the issue is with these reviewers, but I hooked this up in a matter of minutes, and was able to adjust the flow rate as advertised. I can move everything from a small trickle to a full stream out of garden hose. I use 100 ft of black hose and the water returning to the pool is noticeably warmer on sunny days. Don't expect miracles, but it definitely is supplementally warming the pool.

Don’t waste your money. Poor quality. Will not stay in standard Hayward outlet. Adjustment flap goes completely closed on its own causing to much pressure on pump.

I've owned the Gen1 beluga adapter and now this Gen2 adapter as well. It's a great product, but it has some flaws as well. The largest issue is that, as the other review mentioned, the occluding gates will slam shut on their own. I actually found a solution to this problem. You just need to add something to put some friction between the sliding plate and the cap that screws on the end to hold that plate in. I have to criticize the product a bit, though, as this wasn't built in. I think maybe some little detents or something on the injection mold might do the trick, but as it is now, you basically have to find material to jam between the surfaces to ensure enough friction, or the thing will slam shut and send full pressure to your hose or whatever other heating devices you have hooked up.Another issue is that both versions of the beluga seem to pop loose from the pool wall fitting, but that could also be due to wear on my pool fittings so I can't really knock it for that.Over all, however, it's actually an incredibly useful device and doesn't seem like it will just tear itself apart like the Gen1 did.

The valves slam shut and stay shut when pump turned back on after placement.......cannot adjust waterfowl! Paid for the updated version, was sent the older model! Want $7 to return. Infuriating.
