My wife's PC case is inverted with the ports coming out of the top. We have to run the cables through the top of the case and out the back, which makes them not reach as far. This did the trick for her second monitor.

I needed a short DP extension cable for a 5K monitor project I am working on. This one filled the bill nicely. It was the perfect length I needed, but not so long as to make me coil up a bunch of unused cable. I tested it with the 5K panel I am using and it can display the 5K signal at 60 Hz no problem. I don't have an 8K source to test it with, so can't guarantee the max it will pass. Materials and workmanship seem good for this price range cable.

I have arthritis and hypermobile joints that easily subluxate or even dislocate, so I struggle with the push button "lock" present on most DisplayPort cable connectors; they are just too painfully awkward to activate when plugged in to the back of a monitor. I also needed a slightly longer video cable, to reduce strain on the connection caused by my current setup.This 1 ft DisplayPort extension cord addressed both issues for me. I can easily separate the cable from my monitor now, and the connection between the monitor and my PC has needed slack.I'm using this with an older 32" Samsung monitor that runs at 2560 x 1440, so I can't speak to 4k or 8k operation, but the picture quality/function is still great with the use of this extension cable on my system. I can't tell a difference at all.

With the monitor arm and cable management, my DisplayPort was just a hair too short. This fit the bill to extend the cable just enough so I could cable manage and reach the back of the PC. Better than buying a brand new cable and haven't seen any picture or quality degradation at 1400p 165hz.

Found no picture or connection issues, great when you adjust your setup and find it's now a few inches short. Rather than a whole new cable this gave that tiny extra I needed. Plug is snug and secure, no change in performance from the cord it extended.
