So, its good, but its not a one do it all caliper. Why? Because sometimes you want the tips to be metal and sometimes plastic. When you want plastic, the metal wont do, so this one works. Metal will scratch whatever you measuring perhaps, so plastic is superb. But otherwise, metal is superior because you tend to have those with a metal scroller wheel, while here its all about friction strength, a real let down. Also only goes to 2 decimals, so its not that precise. Which means for the money it is a little expensive. OK, average.

It's fine. But if you need an exact measurement beyond 2 decimal points, then you're out of luck. I thought I could measure a lot of random guitar strings I have that are no longer in their original packages, but you can't measure for example, .0010 , .0026 etcAlso, it's but metal where it measures. It's plastic so it won't last long if you plan on using it a lot

Plastic quality is not satisfactory beside there is no lock which have a high chance to mistake our measurement

Great tool , does what I need , a quick measure from time to time on random things so I can order the off beat cap to this or wire for that or necklace there . However if I were to use this on a daily , in a shop or for my job , just splurge and get the all metal one . The plastic teeth on the end can flex and make you question your measurements . Decent tool , awesome case and plenty extra batteries !

This is a good budget caliper that reads in both inches and mm. It doesn't come with any instructions and it takes a bit of fiddling to figure out how to expand the arms to start measuring. The battery protector was impossible for me to remove by hand or with tweezers, but I eventually got it removed with a pair of pliers. It comes in a re-closable plastic container that you can use to store the item if you wish. And it also comes with two spare batteries in addition to the one that ships inside the tool.I would buy this again.

I really like these digital calipers!Pros:- Switch between mm and inch- Display to show value, and analog version (you can also read the numbers like on a tape measure)- Easy to use- Accurate- Comes with batteries (replacements too) they last a while- Width and diameter measuring- Comes with case- DurableCons:- No digital display data port without cutting the plastic shell and some DIYingOverall I recommend these calipers unless you need a data port!
