Try to use this to measure the flare out on a motorcycle chain master link pin after changing this sprockets and chain on my motorcycle. So I measured the pin before I tried to flare it out and you staying till to flare out the pin took a measurement and oh great it's at the recommended size.. cleaned everything up put all tools away except the caliper and to double check the measurement and it was like smaller than the original measurement I came up with so reset it to zero again and it was the same size as original measurement. So broke out all the tools again the chain flaring tool gloves wrenches whatever so try to do it again. (Depends on this particular chain I got with extra extra hard it was so hard to flare out the pin) So after my arms feeling like rubber bands later took another measurement it was fine.cleaned everything up again went to bed next morning took a measurement and it was the same measurement as the original again. what's going on? It was the next morning so arms felt a little better had the strength to do it again did it again was able to flare it out a little bit but who knows really how much because this tool couldn't measure accurately..returned it.

Seem to work well and accurate for a low-cost caliper. Comes with plastic case and extra batteries.

Nothing to dislike. I build guitar amps, and require accuracy.

The instrument weighs 197 g (6.9 oz.); heavier than expected however it is "all-metal" (case, jaws and and rail) as advertised. It is well-designed and manufactured; repeatable and accurate. It does not have the generally useless "fraction" mode that some others have--I will not miss it. The installed button cell powered right up, the two spares both test as good...Recommended!

I’ve always wanted one of these but always just made what I had work. I got into CNC milling recently and I’m glad I chose these as my first pair cause they are everything I dreamed they’d be. Great quality and accuracy. Feels nice in the hand. Value for my money and a display that’s easy to read.

For the work I’m doing now, it serves my purpose for an accurate tool. I plan to purchase a larger caliper soon and I will definitely be looking at buying from Scitools again.

These are cheap calipers and my expectations were modest. However, they are surprisingly smooth in operation and the buttoms have a very distinctive "click" which I really like. Zeroing is very repeatable. I have Clockwise and Mitutoyu calipers and I think these aren't disappointing in any way although some of the ground edges are sharp and you may want to break them to make them smoother to the touch. Highly recommended for this price bracket.

I like that these are all metal, and the battery cover is held on by a screw, instead of a slide cover that always gets lost. What I didn't like was that I couldn't find a 12" one like this that reads out in fractional inches. Still a great tool and a decent price.
