Reminder that inches are TWO Decimal Places, not THREE - like 0.12 Not 0.125 - I prefer inches be 3 so my bad not paying attentionmetric: 0.1 not 0.12 One Decimal Place.6.13" max depth can measure1.54" jaw depth for outer diameter stuff0.6" jaw depth for inner diameter measureIt has worked great so far and it auto turns off in decent short amount of time. I like the large Digits also for phone pictures up next to the object.

Awesome calipers for the price! Not super sturdy of course, but for what I needed, and the price, it was perfect. Easy to use.

I bought these calipers to mount on my old Bridgeport mill on the Z axis. Had another Bridgeport with a inexpensive caliper mounted on Z axis, worked great. While waiting to do that install I'm using these calipers for general measurements and they are OK. Action is not as smooth as I would like but the cost of these make up for that. I thread the hole in the Bridgeport quill. Thread in a hex setscrew then drill and thread that for 10/32 taper head Allen screw.Make a bracket for the bottom mount and use 10/32 alien head tapered screws to hold the caliper in place top and bottom. Last cut off or shorten the caliper jaws as needed. With this setup getting exact depth is easy as you can zero out the caliper anywhere then measure depth as needed for drills or end mills. 6" caliper is perfect size for this.

I needed a set of calipers for larger objects that had better resolution than a square or tape measure. I have several 6 inch digital calipers so this is not my first set. These were priced competitively and arrived quickly. However, the first problem I had was the case was bright red (black in listing) and blow molded (not particularly hard). There was no cushioning and the caliper was rattling around (although bagged) and was turned on. I am uncertain how much battery remains but time will tell. One of the latches on the case was also damaged. My smaller less costly calipers have better cases and give me better confidence they will not be damaged (cushioned/hard cases). On the plus side, they included an extra battery. I added cushioning to my case using thin adhesive backed EPDM sheets which improved the caliper retention significantly and "thankfully" there was enough gap in the case to do that.Performance wise, it works. It does not always return to zero consistently (off by 0.01) but it is within an expected accuracy for the size. For the price, there are several calipers in this range on Amazon. It may be worth spending a little more to get something of a little higher quality.

I use this caliper for both machine work and wood working. My ancient dial caliper (45 years old) suffered a terrible tragedy when it accidentally fell on the floor rendering it unconcious. I like this one a lot more. I do some lathe work and it is nice to have a caliper that can be set to a zero so that with one measurement I know how much more to remove. The display is easy to read. I work in both metric and imperial so this is really handy too. I am happy with it and think it is a great deal for the $$$. All stainless steel, not plastic. Well, the read head is in a plastic body, but the rest is SS.

So i was looking for a decent caliper for 3d printing design. I ALWAYS go threw all the product reviews to get the best possible product i can. in this case i needed a caliper badly for a project i was working on and i was broke so i figured i would get a cheap one to get me through until i could afford better. i am surprised how accurate and well built this Caliper was/Is. no need for another one as this product is well worth price, more like price isn't worth product. this caliper is right up there with high end models, comes with extra battery and sturdy carrying case. trust me when i say look no further.

This caliper is very smooth and easy to operate along it's entire length.I like that it works as it should and very accurate.I use it measure items i'd like copy on my 3d printer and it goes its job perfectly and well built with sturdy long lasting construction. It would be even better if it had back lighting for the display but most don't in this price range, however, it does have auto power on with memory of zero position when you move the jaws!
