This was all well and good until the power went out. We were leaving on a 6 week RV trip and I ordered this to water my 2 houseplants that I didn't want to die. Set up was okay. I only wanted to water them once a week. Sometime when we were gone, the power went out and this stopped watering. It would be great if it had a battery back up in case this happened.

I bought one of these pumps about a month ago but did not manage to actually open the box until yesterday. I assembled the whole system yesterday and programmed it for 12 small pots. Everything seemed fine and I liked the fact that, unlike many other similar systems that allow programming of watering duration only in multiples of minutes, I can program the watering duration with this device in multiples of second increments. This is nice for very small pots. All well so far. The product description and the manual is quite vague and misleading when it comes to its power supply. The device needs and AC connection and has no battery, but the description and the manual suggest that the programming is somehow saved in case of power failure. To simulate a power failure, I unplugged the device and plugged it back again after a while. Initially it seemed that all my programmed settings were lost. But after I switched between manual and auto modes, my settings (programming and clock setting) returned; so, the device did somehow remember my settings (at least for the short duration of being unplugged). Nevertheless, it required me to physically diddle with the knob to get my settings back. If there is a power failure while I'm away, there is no one around to diddle with the knob to reset my programming or the clock setting, and I am not sure how long of a power outage it would take before the device's memory is wiped out completely. I want a pump that works reliably when I am away, even if there is a power failure. For me this product is useless. Unfortunately, I have cut the tubing and cannot return it any more. I wish I had read the negative customer reviews before I bought this product; oh well, I paid a price to learn a lesson!

I was heading out of town for 10 days and needed a way to water my bonsai trees while away. This watering system worked very well. It's on a timer, so I needed to guess at how much time for each cycle and how many hours between each watering. Great product, but I would suggest that you buy it well in advance of your vacation. It takes a while to learn the pattern that will provide the correct amount of water.

The pump works perfectly and is very easy to set up and use. The pump pushes a good amount of water, even for several potted plants (about 8 potted plants). I like that the pump is plugged into an outlet so I don't have to worry about re-charging or the battery dying when I am away. I contacted the seller and they were very responsive and provided great customer service. I plan on purchasing a couple more irrigation pumps from this seller!

So far it does what it's supposed to do. Great for vacations or if you are tired of watering. Pump is strong and delivers water as intended. Every dripper it came with is used. As you can see i have the pump low and it is strong enough to water all the way to the top.

First thing that caught the eye was the manual dial for the different settings. Second and most important was that this baby sports 12V power--almost all the other (save Letpot) automatic watering systems are 5V, taking AA batteries or micro USB. The power cord is a generous 8ft w a velcro tie.Have been testing it out on the kitchen table. As will only be watering three pots during a 3-4 wk hiking trip, that's how many drinking glasses set up and ran watering stakes to. Placed the pitcher of water on a chair, the unit above it on the table with the glasses. The pump seems plenty powerful, the sound gives confidence, each stake put out a uniform 6oz a minute. Assume that would change if tried running all ten stakes that it claims it can push. Can it? Dunno, not doing a Youtube video here, but wouldn't be shocked. This item is very well thought out, super user-friendly and straight-forward design. The dial is as convenient as anticipated. The LED displays all info, including a very practical countdown clock to the next cycle, and cute little waterdrops when it's running. Has a manual mode. Has a child lock.Only apprehension going forward is the watering stakes, in lieu of drip emitters--will they clog eventually, whether due to the 50/50 perlite/vermiculite grow medium, roots, or both. Won't know until get back from catching fall colors in Pisgah NF. Have some Rainbird emitters laying around, but don't want to go that route, afraid may put stress on the motor. But these folks have faith in their equipment. Googled them with AI, they mainly make hot air guns n stuff like that, have a decent reputation. You're able to register it with them and get 90 days cash back/two year extended warranty on the watering system. Pretty cool..Only thing will need to buy is opaque water line: they supply clear, which will allow algae to grow. This is a certainty if new to aqua-culture ;-)
