Joyfully, it does work on the apple M1 chips! The buttons aren't as sensitive as I would like, but they're more sensitive than a metal arcade pad.So far so good. I like that it doesn't shift around as much as the cheaper pads while playing. It stays pretty stable.

So my regular stay cool pad broke and wanted a replacement, metal pads are freaking expensive so i opted for this padded one and I actually hella love it, I was 250 lbs when i started using it so it holds up pretty good, its quite slippery tho if you sweat under it rip using it until it dries up

Mat worked well after getting it and setting it up. Easy setup and definitely better than the cheaper mats. My mat began giving me problems and eventually completely stopped working after using it about five times without any damage ever being done to the mat. It was really fun while it lasted and I cant find any other mats like this one but now it completely stopped working and broke on me. Given the expensive price I'm not sure if I would recommend or purchase again for only a few uses.

The foam pads are a bit of a pain in the ass to set up right and get the pad zipped closed, but other than that this is a good pad! It works great on my intel mac running 10.14.6 with no issues, and no input lag in stepmania. My main complaint is that the bottom of the pad is basically the same foam material as the inserts...so it slides a LOT when I play on my tiled floor even though I'm playing easy songs. It's honestly a bit infuriating that a $90 pad is not only NOT nonslip on the bottom, but that this fact is not disclosed anywhere in the product description. If you buy this, you should get something like a non slip exercise mat to go under it if you are playing on a tile or wood floor. You also have to be very careful that you do not pick this pad up and move it while it is plugged in, because the usb connector gets a LOT of static when you do. I'm assuming it wouldn't be enough static to actually kill my thunderbolt dock or computer, but the static shock I felt when I learned this the hard way actually hurt a bit.

Not sure why others have said the customer service is good. I have tried emailing through both their official website and amazon, no answer from either. I have a mac 2017, the dance pad doesn't even register on the computer, so if anyone else was hoping this is their mac dance experience solution, keep dreaming on, haven't found one for myself either. The package says box it arrives in could be defective because they try to inspect it before sending. Mine had been torn and after removing it from the amazon box it was literally an open piece of cardboard with no structural integrity. The box has a tab on the top, there is zero reason an "inspection" should lead to a fully deconstructed, unusable box. Got a replacement from Amazon in case it was a defective first pad, nope, second pad still does work, not with different adaptors, nothing. And the box? Ripped open at the top again, so unnecessary... Returning the pad. Wish I had believed the bad reviews before purchasing and keeping my hopes up.
