I ordered these timers a while back (more than a year). Because they've been very reliable and easy to use I recently ordered more. Thank you for a quality product that works well and lasts.

Update: The seller reached out after seeing my original review. Suggested a way to reset the timer and graciously offered a fair resolution. So given their great customer service, I have increased my original rating from 2 stars to 5.Original review: Last December (8 1/2 months ago) I bought this timer because it has 2 outlets so that I could turn on/off 2 small candlestick lamps on my hutch at the same time. I tolerated the loud click that it made whenever the lights were turned on and off. However I just unplugged it because the timer started making a loud humming/grinding noise, and it did not turn the lights on as usual. Very disappointing it didn’t even last one year. I will try using the second timer that came with it.

They both worked great for a week or two. One went out.
Great item. Slightly difficult to assemble.

The problem with most mechanical timers is that they are not grounded. You can only use plugs with the two prongs. If you have a ground prong, then you are out of luck. However, these timers work perfect with cords that have two prongs and the ground prong. At Christmas I will plug a power strip with multiple Christmas lights into my timer. Everything cuts on and off at the same time! Also, these are quiet. They don't make a noisy ticking sound.

These mechanical timers are easy to use and work just fine without the bells and whistles of more expensive digital devices which can be confusing to program. The mechanical settings are probably not as precise as those on digital timers, but if the lights go on or off at 11:08 instead of precisely 11:00, it's not a problem for me.

I had to go thru a box of bad ones to get a set that worked as expected! Return was easy and fast! I think they are as accurate as this type of timer could be! Each pin represents approximately 15 minutes, but with two identical timers set exactly the same and plugged in within seconds of each other, there was still a time lapse between identical Christmas trees coming on together and turning off together. Even with a few attempts at tweaking one or the other to better synchronize the lights, it still didn’t change much. Over the course of being on over the Christmas holiday I noticed each timer slowly came on a bit later and later each day, until there was somewhere around 1/2 hr to 45 minutes delay in original time set. However, that being the case, I still plan to use them again next year!! The convenience was well worth any time discrepancies!!

I bought these timers to augment older mechanical timers I already had. I use them to control different strings of indoor Christmas lights. The heaviest load was only about 100 W--well within their 1875 W rating. They did their job quietly and without issue. And it's designed to only occupy one outlet, leaving the other outlet still accessible. They're "programmed" by pressing down one or more little tabs (or pins), allowing multiple ON periods during a 24-hour cycle (an advantage over the older timers I already owned). However each tab represents about a half-hour, so they're not very precise. Additionally, it's difficult to set the time accurately, as the timer dial is quite small. If you're trying to get multiple circuits to go on and off at the exact same time, you might be better off going with a digital timer (which can have its own programming challenges). However if you're not too fussy about the "when", then these timers are a good deal for the price--and an immense improvement over trying to turn lights on and off yourself manually.I’ve used these for two seasons now and recommend them (with the above caveats).
