Build quality is great and the light- dark sensor is accurate even on a lighted porch. No worries with Xmas lights turning on/off.

Stopped working after one season, shorted out. I had it set to Dusk/Dawn, would not turn on until way after dusk. Not the best quality plastic. You get what you pay for truly so if you’re only using it for one season, it’ll get you through it but if you plan to use it for a couple years, get a better model.

I have 3 of these timers, for the price they are great! So easy to use and have different features to set the time you want. We use them for Christmas lights and for summer lights for are fire pit.

This light timer works for me - it is so easy to use - just plug in and switch to your desired timer duration and you're good to go. No fuzz, whatsoever. It arrived as expected and I recommend this product.

I've been using this timer for my holiday lights outside for a few weeks now and I'm very impressed with how it works. It's so amazingly simple and easy to use and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It turns all my holiday lights on at dusk and off at dawn. For example, today is Dec. 7 and we had clear skies today and I'm in Northern Arizona. The official times for local sunrise and sunset are: 7:23 AM and 5:18 PM. I kept track today and the lights turned off at 7:28 AM and then back on at 5:35 PM.When I first started using the timer the sunrise and sunset times were slightly different and the lights were turning off at about 7:19 AM and back on at around 5:40 PM. So I know the light sensor really works and is saving the job of having to adjust the old mechanical timer every couple of weeks to match the daylight hours.This timer is well worth the money, super simple to set up and use, and it works exactly as it says it is supposed to. I highly recommend it. I can't believe I stuck with the old mechanical timer for so long where you have to manually set on and off times.Oh, and it is programmed to ignore car headlights or patio/porch lights. I have my timer set up about 7 feet directly below my patio light and it doesn't trigger the light sensor. It needs to be exposed to a brightish light for at least 15 minutes before it will trigger the sensor to turn off the holiday lights. I've actually never seen it do this, maybe because my patio light is not bright enough (100 watt incandescent). I did leave the patio light on accidentally once and did not notice the holiday lights being turned off.
