The Dewalt Universal Connectors are great, I cut this hose in half and added the new connectors to those cut ends. Easy to install them.

I love the length of this vacuum pipe, the connector at the sander is easy to use.I ended up gluing another 2" connector inside the vacuum end that came with this hose.It is not the 5/4 hose nor the 2" standard thread. Yes you can buy an adapter to connect a regular hose to the sander, but those pipes are twice the price. I had a vacuum that died recently so I used part of that.It works with any vac now.

I'm a bit annoyed that I had to buy this hose due to DeWalt's proprietary attachment on their quarter sheet sander. Had I realized that I couldn't use my basic Ridgid hose on the sander before I used it, I would have returned the sander. This kind of nonsense drives me crazy. The hose was two thirds the cost of the sander. The hose itself is robust, and the lock mechanism does mean it stays attached to the tool, but I now own a hose that fits ONE tool. It doesn't even attach to my $700 DeWalt mitre saw (maybe it does with an adapter, but I'm certainly not buying one and encouraging this type of behaviour.

Off-label use for this Dewalt hose. I've been looking for a long 1.25" replacement hose for my older Nilfisk GM-80 clean-room vacuum that I use to keep my electronics shop picked-up. Nilfisk wants $300 and up for replacement hoses, and I couldn't stomach that, so for under $50, I figured I'd little to lose in trying this Dewalt hose. IT'S PERFECT! The Dewalt hose-ends thread off (they're a left-hand thread), and the Nilfisk hose ends thread right on to the Dewalt hose. Back in business!

Unfortunately, Dewalt's drywall sander uses a proprietary vacuum port. Since I don't own a Dewalt shop vacuum or dust extractor, I had to figure out to transition from the hose's male fitting to my old Craftsman shop vac with a 2 1/4" inlet port. With a combination of plumbing fitting, I was successful. The hose length, durability and tight connection to the sander was worth the cost of a new hose. I like the 1 1/4" hose so much that I have purchased Dewalt adapters for a few other power tools.

If you have scoured the interest for weeks or purchased (and ultimately returned) every adapter you could find trying to hook up that DeWalt shop vacuum you purchased from Costco (DXV10SA or similar) to any or all of your DeWalt tools without modifications or duct tape, then I have all the answers for you!First, I call all dimensions what they measure, which may not be what DeWalt calls them (e.g. DeWalt refers to the DVV9000 as taking a 1.25” hose, but it doesn’t). See my pictures. Here are the things you’ll need:DeWalt jobsite table saw to 1.75” vacuum hose = DXVA11-2100 adapter. It adapts from the 2.25” opening on the back of the table saw to fit the hose which came if the vacuum – assuming that hose has the 1.75” end.DeWalt Miter Saw and any other DeWalt tool with that funny special dust port coupler (DCW210 orbital sander, hand planer, biscuit joiner and I am sure other tools) = DWV9315 hose with ends, extra DWV9000 and DWV9140.The DWV9140 adapts the 2.25” opening in the vacuum itself to one of those special coupler ends. The DWV9315 hose has one male and one female coupler end, which can be unscrewed and swapped around as needed. Replace the male end with the DWV9000, making a doubled ended hose. One will couple to the tool and the other the DWV9140There may be other ways to do the same things, and perhaps a less expensive way, but this was my all DeWalt parts solution. You may ask why DeWalt would make this so difficult, and while I don’t have an authoritative answer for you, and can say that the shop vacuum has considerably less power than an actual dust collector. And even with a good filter it isn’t 100% dust free. This solution also isn't particularly cheap either.Hope this helps shorten someone’s internet searches.

It is fit the Dewalt sander and works perfectly! And I did not use Dewalt vacuum, I diy a dust stopper. This hose is easy to connect to the vacuum handmade dust stopper. Strongly recommended it.

Gives you the length that you need for the smaller Dewalt battery powered vac. Just dont get it clogged because it's difficult to unclog a 15 ft hose if something is stuck in the middle. It feels more durable than the original hose. I just might cut this to a smaller length and reattach the connection attachments.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, that I was able to directly attach this hose to my Rigid shop vacuum without any modifications. It was a press on tight fit with medium to light force to connect. If you have any of the Dewalt tools with the unique airlock system, this hose attachment is a must. You can buy with confidence that it will work, especially if you have a Rigid shop vac.

I took a chance and bought this hose thinking it would fit the dewalt drywall sander, but it didn't until i used masking tape.

I don’t actually own the dust extractor that this hose is for. Instead of getting the quick disconnect piece that comes by itself, I got this since it comes with 15’ of hose as well for $20 more. I connected it up to my rigid vacuum hose with and adapter so now I have about 20+ ft of hose with plenty of suction. You could probably use a 1 1/2” no hub adapter to make the transition as well. I connected it up to my orbital sander just to try it out and it worked awesome. Going to try out other things as well. This purchase comes with the hose, female turn and click disconnect piece, male piece that would go into a female turn and click disconnect piece and an adapter for attaching it to one of the dewalt extractors.
