Second time I’m buying this hammer as the milled face eventually wore after 7 years. This hammer is very balanced and the weight is perfect when framing all day.

This baby is indeed a hammer. No complaints, no issues, and batteries not included. One smack and the nail is gone!

This is the hammer you want if you don’t want to invest $300+ on a Stilleto or Martinez.I use it daily working as a carpenter and the weight and feel of this hammer is comparable to the more expensive hammers. With a 14oz head, and a long handle it still has the power, but doesn’t kill your hands or wrists. Ergonomically I haven’t had any soreness or pain in the four months I’ve been using it.

I bought this to replace an old framing hammer that was stolen from my truck. I really like the balance of this hammer, and it's length works for me as well. Nice grip with or without a glove. Highly recommended.

pretty decent hammer. like the checked face for nailing. and the lighter weight gives just as much bang with less effort.

This hammer is awesome! It is about 20-30 dollars more than your typical framing hammer, but it is completely worth it! I first bought 28 ounce estwing framing hammer. It is very strong and does the job but at the end of working 5 hours my arm was crying. I was recommended this dewalt hammer from a friend and was very happy with results. At 15 oz it is much lighter and I could easily swing it all day long. It strikes just as hard as my 28 oz estwing and also has that cool magnetic nail starter at the top of the hammer. This feature is very cool when you don't have to be completely accurate will your nail placement.Bottom line is this dealt hammer is 15 oz and strikes like one almost double it's weight. What not to love about it?

This is a beast of a hammer. it's as tough as an estwing but much much lighter. you can get a lot more power out of this because of how easy it is to swing. I grew up doing construction but have been in an office job for many years now and i bought this just for occasion projects. This is certainly tough enough for any jobsite and others will be envious of it but I wouldn't use it for my day-to-day if i were still a hammer swinger. That is just my preference and I respect the opinions of others that disagree. solid metal hammers have little give and take a toll on your arm when you use them every day. I prefer a fiberglass or other nonmetal shafted hammers for the day to day. This hammer will last longer than the nonmetal hammers but I would always keep a spare (or two) fiberglass hammers and use them to failure rather than destroy my joints over time. You will lose the checkering on this hammers head before you will be able to destroy it any other way.I don't like this hammer for demo...yet. I need to play with it some more but i was having all kinds of problems when I was using it as a gap/spacer keeper while running a pry bar alongside it. This hammer kept wanting to pop out and just wouldn't stay put as i was prying. I only did very minimal demo work so I haven't had a chance to figure out if it was just that one situation or if this thing is just no good for demo. It's certainly powerful enough for smashing demo, just don't like it for prying work...yet.
