For a DeWalt product I wish it was more durable. I buy these from time to time because not many other products meet the measurement specifications I prefer but I typically have to buy more after what I would consider a short timespan for a DeWalt product. After some use the metal warps and the slide on the outside falls off easily and I have to switch to a new one.

My husband went to two of the big named Hardware stores yesterday looking for these. He uses these with wood screws. They don't last forever and he is well aware of that. Finding him 3 that shipped overnight was very welcomed.

It's the best quality DeWalt if it says DeWalt is a great priceBut these if you need em they hold up

I’m pretty certain these aren't DeWalt made or at the least they aren’t DeWalt quality. More than likely these are knockoffs. Maybe will work for weekend craftsman but not for everyday construction workers. I would always buy the same slides from Lowe’s and they last for more than a year (used daily), unfortunately you can’t find these at Lowe’s or Home Depot any longer. These slides (all 3) broke on the first day. The C-ring that keeps the slide from slipping off snaps and the slide then just falls off making it unusable. Besides that, before breaking I noticed that the magnet wasn’t as strong as the ones bought in stores. Your bit pulls out and stays attached to the the screw or else it would just fall out of the slide. They come in the same packaging as the ones as the box stores but I’m having a hard time believing that it’s a DeWalt product, pretty certain these are knock offs.

Works fairly well for first hundred or so screws but debris starts to bind movement of sliding screw cover also the cover starts to flair out with use. I have worn these out beyond repair in a day! Also have had the hex end start to wear causing the item to wobble enough that screws start to thread into wood at sharp angles!
