Using a 4.5 grinder with 5.5in. Saw blades.All grinders I have are 7/8 arbors. (X7).A 5.5 size wood blad is at the top end speed for this saw, ( At your own risk).Problem is with this blade size, you have an arbor choice of 10mm, 1/2in. and 5/8ths.90% of thes blades will not have a 7/8 arbor and if they do, the blade will be for metal, $$ or ceramic.Answer:You ride the arbor straight on the drive shaft wich is 5/8ths. In order to do this I just machined the lip of the washer that you place on the machine first. (PHoto), I have a small laith, but this can be done in a less refined manner. If doing this retrofit make sure to build a cover for your hands!!!!Even a pro gets tired and sloppy after 8hours. Just not worth having a grinder climb up your arm. And perhaps sign your face!!!Good luck nice pack!
