I bought this saw about a year ago (it’s actually my first saw), and it’s been pretty powerful. Back when I got it, I saw some reviews saying that bigger batteries were necessary to get the most out of it. At first, I was using a 5Ah battery, and it worked fine for plywood, studs, and general wood cutting.Recently, though, I decided to push it a bit further and tried cutting granite(yes, an actual granite countertop). That’s when I realized the 5Ah battery wasn’t enough. You could feel the resistance, and the saw just didn’t have the power to go through it smoothly. So, I got an 8Ah battery, and wow, what a difference! With a bigger battery, the cuts were flawless, fast, powerful, and effortless, obviously using the proper blade.I was already happy with the saw for regular use, but this recent challenge made me want to finally write a review. If you’re planning to use it for heavier materials, definitely go for the bigger battery and right blade. Overall, really impressed and glad I bought it!

This is an EXCELLENT Cordless Circular Saw. It's the perfect size for all of your small jobs where using a big saw might not be practical. It's easy to use with amazing power. It is a MUST have for your tool kit.With DeWalt you just can't go wrong!!

This is an amazing saw! Use it every weekend!Lots of power!! The only thing I would recommend to Dewalt is that the blade guard should be cast aluminum!! Don’t see the plastic one will last the life of this tool!!! Other than that great saw DEWALT.

Used this awesome tool to enlarge a hole in our cabinetry to fit a speed oven. It would have been great if DeWalt added a saw blade for finish cuts but you can always buy those separately. Excellent tool and did the job very well. Very happy with this purchaseHighly recommended

I am a senior woman with a fair amount of DIY and remodeling experience, both commercial and residential. I appreciate well-designed, well-built tools, and this lived up to DeWalt’s standards. I was concerned that it would be heavy and clumsy for my grip, which is maybe a bit larger and stronger than many senior women, but not as big/strong as most guys’. While the tool is heavy, in a good way, the grip and trigger/switch design is smart, safety-forward, and I found it easy to hold and work with the tool. Both the kerf notch and the bevel selector needed small adjustments out of the box, but they were easily accomplished. The tool has plenty of power via the 20V battery system. I RTFM’d carefully, because I’m that kinda gal, and then I took my time with the first few cuts, getting used to the feel of the tool. I’m very pleased, posting this review to encourage other women who may be hesitating about which saw to buy. One final observation: the portability of this saw can’t be beat, so if the size of the blade works for your needs, go for it.

This tool is really good when needing to handle jobs where breaking out the full-sized or corded versions are not feasible. Don’t get me wrong, it is very strong and capable machine for many/most jobs - anything up to 2x4,2x6,etc. anyway.I found it very useful when working in the attic, tight spaces, or when the corded version would be more work moving around. This saw was easy to keep handy in a bag, pouch, etc. I was pleasantly surprised at the battery life for the portability.

I wish they had this a long time ago. Lol I'm using it for cutting pieces to install flooring. Save you from having to get up and down going to like a table saw to rip the long side edges. Then instead of using a chop saw you can just rip all the short pieces too. Saved a lot of time and having to get up and down. I have a rotation of two 4 amp batteries and I find the the weight balance of the tool to be good. Highly recommend this tool.

This saw is strong and lite, packs a punch ! Ideal for small jobs, gets in tight spots.Would order this again , use for cutting tile , very handy , can't beat the value for the price
