I'm not sure I used this once already but I did. After the superbowel party ( small party) I vacumed again.."ARE YOU KIDDING:!!?? The dirt and cat hair that came up!!. I am tired of house vacs that really don't clean. I bought this 12 gal, 5.5 hp wet/dry vac. I just cleaned twodays ago when the shop vac arrived. I'm 76, disabled, have a hair shedding cat and a small one bed room apt. I really thought the place was reasonable clean.."WRONG!! . Just look at what it picked up and i vacummed just two days ago....this vac is so strong it almost couldsuck off the wall paint. I did my small deckwith it. Leaves and dirt from the trees andwind. The hose is a bit stiff but not a realproblem. It pulls easily across the carpet. Nottoo loud, and works great!. I wish I had donethis earlier instead of buying a house vac. Ithas a three year warranty. It's a good deal and I would buy it again in a second.

This 12 gallon shop vac could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch! Nah, just joking, but it is a powerful vac and perfect for keeping my garage clean. It’s easy to use and it’s a great value for the money. It’s heavy duty and can handle the big jobs. I’m glad that I bought it.

I bought this out of necessity when we bought our house due to getting a second dog over the course of last year. It does what it needs to do and I haven't had any issues with loss of suction or anything. It will slow down a little if it's getting full, but emptying is pretty straightforward and it's easy to maintain the thing. Only downside is I don't really have any room to store it away so it kind of sits in our living room while not in use, and it's awkward to get up and down stairs.I like it so much that if I had more money to spend freely, I would just get a second one for the upstairs.

I am pleased with the dewalt shop vac. It has good suction and is not noisy. I like the size, so it doesn’t have to be emptied as often. Love that it is on wheels and with the long cord I can breeze through the job. Thanks Dewalt!

Honestly its an amazing shop vac for home. I have pet rodents whos pellets and hay get everywhere and its really effective at getting it sucked up vs traditional vacuums that would clog. Highly recommend

Great section easy to use. Wouldn’t it be great though if somebody made a vacuum that rolled straight unless otherwise commanded? Outside I use one of these on the job for the school district, I was so impressed with the amount of vacuum that I bought one for myself. Neither one of these to roll worth a damn. This might not be a concern of yours, however rolling it down and I’ll or hallway where you have to maneuver around 1200 kids in a hurry to go clean up a spill or a job becomes a concern. There’s nothing solid to push from if you’re rolling it down an aisle or hallway, you have to bend way over to hold onto it while pushing it. I actually put my vacuum in a cabinet that rolls great to move it around. So maneuverability ( or the lack there of) is my only complaint.

I have a water garden inside an old boat...have had it for years. Over time it had become a bog...totally full of decayed leaves, etc. After scooping out perhaps a third of them, in an effort to totally empty the boat, I realized it would take me forever so came up with the idea of using a shop vac. I really didn't know much about them, never having used one. But took a chance on this one and I'm glad I did. It worked amazingly well and with a lot less effort than manually trying to clear the boat. It sucked up the water, no problem, and that was easy to drain so we could start sucking up the muck. It also handled that with no problem. I had been advised to remove the filter before tackling the boat and was glad I did because it probably would've been ruined otherwise. So thank you for a well made product that saved us a lot of time and energy! I don't imagine I will be using it very often, but at least I know it will handle whatever job we have.

Love, love, love this vacuum. I have a black gs x husky x lab cross. He “blows” his coat on a daily basis. I have beige carpeting throughout. I bought a pet vaccuum and found I was constantly unplugging it. (Vaccuum for 15 minutes and spend over 3 hour trying to unplug it.). I had a regular vac and the belt broke. I bought a carpet rake that worked great at first but then seemed to soften up. I had a smaller shop vac but attachments had disappeared and as I previously broke a hip, I found bending over to vaccuum just too difficult.This vaccuum works extremely well in solving my dog hair dilemma. It is so powerful that it has even pulled hair 2 or 3 meters away from the hose when I turned it on. As a bonus, its easy to manoeuvre, even for me.

Honest review here:I’m very impressed with this 12 gallon DeWalt shop vac. It is very well made unlike many other shop vac’s out there. I owned both a craftsman and Stealth. Both of those don’t compare with this one. I returned the Stealth last week and gave my Craftsman away. The craftsman is definitely not made well anymore! At least DeWalt kept the same quality for 50 years unlike the other brands!This unit is very nice. It is medium to heavy at 25 lbs but with the wheels on it, it is very lite to roll around. The build quality is very good. The hose is very big and strong at 7 feet long. The HEPA filter is very large with good quality. The wheels are very sturdy and strong. They swivel 360 degrees without any issues at all even with 12 gallons of water in it. The wheels are made very well and will not break or wear out. The attachments are also made very well. They fit perfectly on the hose and extension tubes. What I like the most about this shop vac is that when you attach the extension tubes and attachment you hear no air sounds leaking in. All other shop vac’s have an air leaking problem.The motor is exactly 5.5 HP Peak. Others list their’s at 5.5 HP peak but in fact they are not that high. You are lucky to get 4.5 HP from them. The motor is not loud at all. I added a diffuser to my shop vac which cuts down on the noise and air exhaust air flow. This really helps. See pictures!The attachment bag/basket is awesome!! It holds everything plus the 2 extra attachments that I bought in addition to what comes with this shop vac.The hose strap is simply the best. I secure the hose tightly to the machine.The power cord wrap around the handle was genius. Everything about this shop vac is A+++++++ in my book.I highly recommend this to anyone! Must buy!!!I got a great deal on it as Amazon priced this as 30 day lowest price. They beat all the big box stores pricing.I hope my review helps your decision in what shop vac to buy. I bought this unit based on the high reviews so reviews do help in more ways than one.
