I didn’t like that my package was delivered on the edge of the porch, anybody could have taken it, thank god they didn’t.The product light is a little to bright, other wise it works

06.01.2024Performance, appearance, quality, and value for money is the appealing part.How long will the attraction last? My concern is, I’m not sure if the light is UV or it just night light?

This thing is great. I bought it because my indoor plants hatched mosquitos with the summer heat. I have only had it a couple days, but it is solving this annoying problem quickly. It is also easy to setup, as all you have to do is take it out of the box and plug it in. If something changes, I will try and update.

My wife likes to spend a lot of time on our patio. We’ve had some trouble with mosquitos but not as much as these small biting flies. I’m not sure of the exact name they should be called but Midges come up quite often as does Mayflies. They’re real pests, they have a tendency to go after your face, neck and ears. It’s not so much painful as it’s annoying. We’re hoping the violet light will attract them and end their annoyance. I hung one sticky trap and the Bug Zapper about four feet apart and the sticky trap was clear and the Bug Zapper had about four tiny flies in just one evening.Putting out new traps every year gets expensive and it never really gets all of them. If you put out four traps, you’re almost to the cost of the Bug Zapper.The insects fall into the removable tray at the bottom of the Bug Zapper which makes it easy to discard the zapped insects. The Bug Zapper does have an on / off switch but if you hang the unit about eight feet high which is the manufactures recommendation it’s difficult to reach the switch. It’s not peak insect season yet but the Bug Zapper did attract at least four insects where the sticky trap didn’t catch any and were hopeful for a peaceful somewhat insect free spring, summer and fall.

This bug zapper is much quieter than the other indoor/outdoor one we have. The bugs make more of a sizzle than a loud crack. That's a good thing in my book. The bottom of the unit is detachable to allow the bug remains to be cleaned up, and they include a small brush for cleaning the cage around the light. All very nice.It IS strange that it tells you to read the instructions before use, but the only instruction booklet included is Chinese cover to cover. Fortunately there are some basic instructions printed on the box itself in English.
